Everything was perfect ! The apartment is situated in a amazing place. The weather was really nice & sunny. We had everything we needed in this apartment - nothing I can complain about because really everything was organized in a professional way. The host is a lovely person , very kind & helpful as well. I would recommend it to everyone visiting Manchester. I'm looking forward to come back with my family to this gorgeous well located in Manchester apartment once again. Many thanks Anne - good luck x
The location of this apartment is amazing. I stayed here with my friends for my 30th birthday. The tea and coffee and other essentials is a great touch however not really promoted so we brought all these things with us. There are a couple of things that could be improved such as the sofa that sleeps 2, is not very comfortable so the purchase of a better quality sofa / futon bed would benefit great , also there is no wi fi which was disappointing, we contacted the host and we were advised to search for a free BT open zone but this did not work and we then found that this was only available at a price. There is also a few loose tiles in the batroom that need attention i think that sorting these few areas would make a great difference. other than this the apartment is great and none of the things mentioned would deter us from staying here again. Already planning our next stay ;-)
Lovely setting.Close to city centre.Very helpful owner;arranged for cleaners to come & offered taxi/meal for us while they worked.Sent flowers & chocs instead.Apartment needs attention tho - bathroom needs re-tiling,carpets need cleaned or replaced, mattresses need renewed, kitchen needs all personal foodstuffs in cupboards & fridge removed & couldn't get hot water in kitchen.Above all, the flat smells damp & mouldy-think it's caused by a tumble drier which is not vented to outside.Suggest condenser drier.Wouldn't book again unless these issues are addressed.We all enjoyed visiting Manchester & loved seeing canal boats, rows of geese & even a heron on the canal.Shame a flat with such potential to be 5* is like this.
I am so sorry your stay was not as expected. Unfortunately the cleaning company let me down, and there were as you found wet towels and used bedding lying in the apartment from the previous guests. The damp smell could only have been exacerbated by the hot, humid weather and large glass windows of the apartment. The tumble dryer does have a condenser conversion and I will investigate the whereabouts (found where expected, but new condenser dryer installed regardless November 2012 ). I thank you for your patience whilst the cleaning company addressed the problem. As far as I am aware there is one cracked tile on the bathroom floor, but I will investigate further (no problem encountered). The mattresses are new this year (a further brand new mattress and solid wooden bed delivered after subsequent guests had a bit too much fun...), and the carpets have all been cleaned twice this year. I apologise if they are looking dirty and will have them cleaned once again (done). I am sorry if there has been a misunderstanding, but space is set aside in the kitchen for a supply of tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, spices, cooking oil, soup, cereal etc for guests to utilise as an "honesty cupboard". This was quite common I found in my overseas travels and have always had very positive feedback. I have no explanation as to why there was no hot water in the kitchen, as the supply was quite normal on the morning of your departure. I wish you had said and I would have had the matter looked at. I'm glad you enjoyed Manchester and the peaceful location. Kind regards.
