Dear potential guests and friends, this property is 5km from the beach, it is on a hill below the great 9th century fort and castle where throne of Croatian Duke Trpimir was, but you can see the sea and the islands from the southern windows. Let me tell you what does that mean for you: most important for guests besides the more affordable price is the peace and quietness of the Klis hill area with fresh night breeze that brings the easy sleep even without the air-condition that I was thinking to put but then again there was really not a need for it as nature takes care of cooling the air behind these old solid built 45cm wide stone outside walls. Other plus of sleeping here on the edge of the Klis Hill is the fact that here you will not find so many flies and mosquitos bugging you as much as on the beach. There is only 70m to the nearby shop with lower prices then the ones on the beach and only 100m to the bus station that can take you to the cities of Split and Solin with their city beaches and attractions or connections to go further along the coast by buses or ferry boats to the islands for a daily visits. That is what my family and me are doing when we are there. Sometimes we come during the winter just to move from the busy and fast paced capital city where we work and live our daily lives. Be sure to visit nearby Roman aquaduct in Salona and ruins of the old roman city of Salona itself, roman emperor Diocletian's palace in the center of Split, old churches in the center of Solin and many more things.
