Attractive, comfortable apartment, with amazing sea view, sleeps 3/4. 2/3 minutes from beach. Good size communal pool. Some hilly walking or steps.

The “La Cala” area is approx 2kms south from the lively resort of Benidorm and comprises Cala Benidorm, at the edge of the Poniente Beach and Cala Finestrat. There is a magnificent view of the Poniente Beach and “bluff” from the balcony. This sandy beach is very popular with Spanish holiday makers but there is always plenty of space. It has a few bars and restaurants close by and lots more as you walk further up the beach.

Cala Finestrat is a few minutes walk away. It has a sandy, sheltered bay flanked by a mixture of Spanish and English bars/restaurants and small shops. It is pleasantly lively in the evenings, with the occasional concert or fiesta. There is a market here every Friday morning.

The area offers an ideal relaxing alternative to Benidorm town while being a short bus ride to its many attractions which include a marina offering various boat trips, a lovely church, a look-out, lots of tapas bars, cafes and shops - and a vibrant nightlife.

There are a number of interesting places to visit that are accessible by public transport so a car is not necessary. South of La Cala you will find the picturesque village and beach of Villajoyosa, (see last two photos above) while along the coast to the north you will find the villages of Albir, Altea, Calpe, Moraira, Javea & Denia. There are beautiful mountain views from the village of Finistrat and the old fortress town of Guadalest is well worth a visit. Alicante is an elegant, interesting city which is about an hour away by bus or train. The theme parks Terra Mitica, Terra Natura (where you can swim with the sharks, apparently), Aqualandia and Mundomar are all a short drive or bus ride away.
