The location of the flat is great, very close to all the places in Taksim you want to see, including great shopping, bars, clubs, restaurants, and it's close and easy to walk or commute to any other areas of Istanbul as well. The view over the city from the house is great too. Our host was helpful, but the flat could definitely use a thorough renovation.
To be fair, I did not stay longer than an hour. It was not what I expected from the description or photos and I made the personal decision to leave. The driver who dropped me off advised me not to go out by myself after 10pm, and there seemed to be a few other security issues. I think this property might be fine for someone looking for more of a budget holiday and not traveling alone. A few things to keep in mind: The toilet is in the shower. It is a steep 3-4 flight walk-up. There is no central air, or air conditioner that I saw. Without it, the windows need to be open to help circulate stale air and it is located on a noisy street. Paying up front, there is no refund allowed. Personally, I feel it is very misrepresented. I was asked to sign the no refund form before a full 'tour'. I was coming from a war zone and desperately in need of clean, comfortable and safe. I did not feel the apartment met any of those needs. The terrace view does not make up for the space itself.
Très bon appartement ! L'organisation est un peu floue, donc je la résume : - C'est un immeuble comportant plusieurs appartements (les photos viennent de différents appartements) - Tout est refait à neuf, c'est propre, clair et très agréable - L'appartement que nous avions était le 13 et il était top avec une super vue, un balcon, etc. L'organisation était un peu floue quand nous sommes arrivés (on nous a demandé à changer de chambre à un moment, puis finalement non), mais après quelques échanges, tout s'est bien passé ! On a notamment pu laisser nos sacs à l'accueil, et faire ce qu'on voulait dans l'appartement. On recommande, car l'emplacement est bien notamment !

Gastgeber-Antwort Susan came alone to our apartment and she supposed that it is not family apartment and wanted to invite more friends. I answered in really politeway that it is possible but not too much. Because our building is quality and usually families prefer to stay. After 30 minutes a man came to her apartment with a rude behaviour and they told me not to stay in here because of the place not comfortable for them to invite other people to make party and these kind of things. He threated at me to get a money otherwise she would damage our reputation. This is not fair but it is free to write what you want we have lots of reviews and nobody belive your lies. I hope you can find the right way in your life and stop to slander nice people. Thank you Kind regards
