"L'Atelier" is a sweet 17ct stone village house based in the heart of a Provencial village named Goult. The previous home owner was an Architect and used this house as an Art studio. L'atelier is in the centre point of the "Triangle d'Or" - the most famous and luxurious location in the Vaucluse.
On the ground floor there is a Kitchen and living area which opens onto a enclosed gravel garden. On the first floor there is a large double bedroom with twin beds (or single double bed) and en suite bathroom. On the second floor is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a terrace overlooking the Luberon Mountains. There is also room for one car parked.
This is a rare authentic house located at the top of the village, in front of Goult's public gardens. This peaceful area is restful to reside in as the bustle of the shops, cafes and restaurants are only a 2 minute walk away. The surrounding hills are dense with vineyards and small picturesque villages.

As a family of three adults, we were entirely happy with this charming early modern era house. The two upstairs bedrooms on separate stories are bright and attractively furnished with attached bathrooms. The top bedroom and its balcony have an especially expansive view of the rolling mountains. On the cold winter evenings we enjoyed cozy dinners by the downstairs fireplace. It was a wonderful place from which to explore the stoney cavernous medieval town and its surroundings.
We really enjoyed our stay at L'atelier. The town of Goult is a tourist destination but quiett. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony winding down after busy days site seeing and hiking. It was realy useful to have a parking space as the parking can be difficult. The town is small but we could buy just about all the necessities which was useful as minimal toilet paper, plastic bin liners, soap, shampoo or washup brush were provided. Even the fish monger visits on Thursdays! It would have been good to have had an ironing board and an iron. Overall worth the stay but make sure you bring all the above or a suggestion to the owner to provide it all as it makes your guests feel more welcome and reduces the complications.
Wonderful house in an incredibly beautiful village. I would stay here again and again. Our only issue was it was rather hot for our wee baby (but there was a heatwave - 38 degrees Celsius most days) with no air-conditioning, but in normal weather, it would be perfect. Helene also gave us a fan to use which was brilliant. And a lovely bottle of wine on arrival. Bliss...
This was a truly charming house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and visit to Goult! The view from the master bedroom was a real treat to wake up to and enjoy a coffee on the terrace! The house is well equipped and you will have everything you need for your stay. The village has a variety of shops/cafes/restaurants and is also surrounded by many other beautiful little villages within a short drive - you will not be bored! We are definitely coming back to Goult. The host, Helene, was extremely helpful and friendly, and so was her neighbour and friend David! We would very much recommend L'atelier. See you next year! The images on this page do not come close to truly representing this wonderful atelier. It is initially not very easy to find, yet when you do is well worth the time. Not to overlooked is easy parking and access once there. Described exactly, it is quiet and a real 2 min. walk to the village center. Unlike other villages in the area, a " main " road does not go through the village, but aound it. This only enhances the walk-about ambience and pleasure of the stay. It is easily reached from Avignon TGV/Central alonq with no stress day trips to Aix en Provence, Arles, Carpentras, etc can be acheived. On site owner Helene is warm, open and a generous host of the highest order. Never imposing but readily available for insights, history and anecdotes. Restaurant availability quality/ambience is remarkable. More than we expected, although, definitely reserve the day before. We dined at all but one, each with it's unique character. In summary, I would not hesitate recommending or returning to this wonderful place.
