In winter, a temporary ice rink is set up in the square, adding even more magic to this already beautiful city. Be warned though, many businesses operate shorter opening hours in winter months.

Carcassonne Airport is easily accessible from most of Europe. A free shuttle operates to the city centre and around the city centre in high season. In winter the city buses can be used but they do not operate on a Sunday. You can also arrive by train if you buy a French rail pass.
