Entire Apartment in Berlin: Chessboxing Rental Apartment
This theme apartment in the last built DDR flat in the middle of Berlin is designed by interior designer Tamara Pallasch and artist and chessboxing (http://www.wcbo.org) inventor Iepe Rubingh. During tournaments in Germany, chessboxers from all over the world stay here and prepare themselves for their fights (http://camp.wcbo.org).
There are 5 beds in 2 bedrooms. You can choose between the Muhammad Ali, Bobby Fischer, Mike Tyson, Miyamoto Musashi and Anantoly Karpov bed.

Das Apartment verfügt über ein Flachbild-TV mit DVD-Player, eine Waschmaschine, eine voll ausgestattete Küche und einen WLAN DSL Internetzugang. Darüber hinaus werden Bettwäsche und Handtücher bereitgestellt. Um das Schachboxfeeling zu komplettieren, stehen ein Boxsack sowie ein Turnierschachbrett bereit.

The apartment was in a very central location - literally just a few minutes walk from Potsdamer Platz where you can pickup both the S and U Bahn. Also a short walk to Checkpoint Charlie. There is also a big Supermarket just a couple of minutes walk away which was very convenient. The apartment itself was very spacious, and always warm with plenty of hot water (I went in February so it was very cold). The decorations are incredibly cool (as you can see from the pictures), and the beds were warm and very comfy. The host was relaxed about payment being taken, had arranged for me to collect the keys when he wasn't able to meet us personally, and responded quickly and positively to any issues we had. The only thing I would mention, is for the ladies to pack their own fair sized mirror - the only mirror in the apartment is in the (pretty dark) bathroom, and is obviously shared with whoever you're staying with! Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definitely stay here again.
