Known as "Ménilmuche" to the locals, the 20th Arrondissement takes in Belleville and the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery. Belleville was the birthplace of Edith Piaf, commemorated by a plaque and a museum about her life. The quarter's musical associations continue with several great places to hear live music. The most famous is La Bellevilloise, a club, restaurant and exhibition space all in one - very popular, day and night. Snapping at its heels to be named the coolest place in town are La Fleche d'Or and a former leather factory, La Maroquinerie.
