Location of the apartments
The apartments are located at 141, VIA GREGORIO VII ("Via Gregorio Settimo"), in a lovely, small palace dating back to the 1930's. From the windows of our apartments you can see the spectacular Dome of St. Peter's. Via Gregorio VII runs alongside Vatican City. Just a short walk away (within minutes), you will find the world's smallest state.... Christianity's most sacred site.
The historical centre is about 1 km from Romahouse.
Several of the buses that stop right in front of Romahouse bring you towards Rome's most interesting sites within minutes (e.g. Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, etc.).
VIA GREGORIO VII is a beautiful, tree-lined street where you will find Romans and tourists alike. The neighbourhood boasts many conveniences: supermarkets and grocery shops, banks and drugstores, fine restaurants and fast food restaurants, and all kinds of retail stores.
Upon your arrival you will be offered a map of the area, filled with useful hints about how to get around.

Every morning a vibrant, open-air market makes Via Gregorio VII cheerful and lively. There, you will find various booths: fruits and vegetables, fresh fish and meats, breads and pastries, as well as street-vendors selling clothes and household items.

Die Apartments liegen in der VIA GREGORIO VII ("Via Gregorio Settimo"), N° 141 ganz in der Nähe des VATIKAN. (10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Petersplatz)
Zum Petersdom und dem historischen Zentrum ist es weniger als 1 km.
Eine Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt vor der Haustüre (5 Buslinien, siehe Autobusplan unter PDF-Dokumente): Somit kann man in ein paar Minuten die berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Spanische Treppe, die Piazza Navona, das Forum Romanum, das Pantheon, das weltberühmte Kolosseum und viele andere Anziehungspunkte besuchen.
Die günstige Lage der VIA GREGORIO VII garantiert Ihnen einen sorglosen Aufenthalt in Rom. So befinden sich dort: Apotheken, Banken, Lebensmittelgeschäfte, Restaurants, Schnellimbisse, Wäschereien, Parkgaragen und Internet Cafés.

Pawel The apartment is very close to Vatican and St Peters train station indeed and good bus connections to Ancient Centre (in fact you can walk there but it is tiring if you take both ways). Good, inexpensive restaurants around and market. Bear in mind that it is 5th floor, which may be a bit of inconvenience. The apartment was exactly like in the pictures, clean and we were provided with a cot for our baby (with matress, sheet and cover!). We also could leave the pram downstairs, safe building. Martin is very nice and helpful gentleman whom you can trust, from the beginning excellent communication. There are some notes, guides for tourists provided. Air conditioning, heating, gas, everything working perfectly. Enough space for up to 4 people.Recommended.
Paula The apartment was great, exactly as in pictures. Our host Martin met us the first day and was really helpfully with tips as we're to eat and buses etc. the apartment is five mins walk from Vatican. There are a lot of steps to the apartment as it is on the fifth floor, although we did not mind the exercise it would not suit everyone. Cannot fault the whole facility, would recommend to friends and hope to return next year it was so good. Thanks to Martin for the excellent place to stay .
