Stayed October 2013
I recommend Villa Savoia for anyone wanting to see Rome or just Italy in general. Very relaxing and a great view from the room overlooking the Italy countryside and Rome in the distance. Eugenio and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. My family of 5 stayed there and were very pleased with how spacious the villa was and there was no shortage of beds. The train station is a 5 minute walk from the villa and will take you to Rome Terminal in 30 minutes. Marino is very peaceful and it was nice to stay in a quite place away from all of the tourists after our sightseeing in Rome. Plus, the prices in Marino for food, etc. are way better than staying in Rome and my wife and mother-in-law enjoyed the Marino market on Wednesday for some local, inexpensive shopping. If you are booking a room to see Rome or Italy, I would contact Villa Savoia first. My family and I will being looking forward to our stay next year. Thanks again Eugenio and Oksana. Ciao!
