It was recently restored in old Florentine style respecting and setting off preexistent architectural elements such as the wooden beam ceilings and“cotto” flooring. Very cosily situated on the 2st floor (without lift) of an 4 floors building, ideally located a few meters from the station and from the historical center is perfect for people on Florence sightseeing trips.
The apartment comprises:
- an entrance which opens on to a large living-dining room with dining table and kitchenette + one double sofa bed.
- a small storage area with washing machine
- a bathroom with shower
- a very cosy, well furnished double bedroom with a wardrobe.
In both rooms the windows are at the back so there is no problem of noisiness.
The apartment is about 45 sq.meters in size and can accommodates 2+2 guests.
We (my wife, infant son and myself) stayed 3 nights at this apartment. The apartment is very conveniently located- just 5 minutes walk from the train station and within 5-10 mins walking distance to all the attractions up to the old bridge. One can't ask for better location. The apartment is very comfortable, well-equipped with all that one would expect from a normal household. It is tastefully decorated and the size is good enough for my son to play and run around with his toys. All in all a very comfortable and satisfactory experience. The only negative is at all, is the absence of a lift- we having to walk up to the 2nd floor with all our luggage. However this is something we knew beforehand. A suggestion- explicitly instruct tenants to ring the bell when they arrives.
This is a lovely apartment, very warm, cosy, clean and well equiped. The apartment just 3 mins walk from the train station which is a big "plus", we didn't have to drag out suitcase to check in. Vema is very nice, she sent me email with information about Florence before my trip. So that we could went to the apartment without any issue. An excellent choice for anyone, like us, flying through Pisa as it is very close to bus station, train station and the city centre. Despite being on the main road, as stated on the website, it is at the rear and you can't hear it. It is nterestingly decorated in warm inviting colours and well furnished. Excellent temperature controls meant it was very comfortable even in the cold and wet weather we had. Excellent value for money. The lounge bed settee is full size, easy to use and very comfortable, but the bathroom is en suite to the bedroom so suited more to families than friends. Also there is nowhere to sit out, though plenty of cafes close by along the street and in the square at Santa Maria Novella. I highly recommend this property. The proprietor and agent were friendly, helpful and efficient.
Excellent apartment and good location. We travelled with our 18 month old daughter and were very confortable. The apartment is conveniently located close to all the sites and within walking distance. Annapaula who looks after the apartment was really helpful the day we arrived. We drove into Florence; and parking in the city is a night-mare. a lot of the zones are restricted to cars (including right out side the apartment), with cameras that capture if you've entered a restricted zone. The fine is €200! Luckily we arrived on a Sunday when no restrictions so could easily leave our luggage and parked in the Garage in the parallel street (€25 /day). if you can take the train best to do that since the apartment is very close to the station. We had a lot of luggage and were travelling within Italy so no choice. Annapaula showed us where to park and had purchased milk for our daughter as well! Overall other than the parking the apartment is great and would definitely recommend it.
