Serene and upscale, the Gramercy Park neighborhood. It is one of the most beautiful areas of Manhattan, where the townhouses aound the park are among the oldest and most outstanding in the city.
Gramercy is centrally located to all the areas of Manhatten that one frequents. It is only blocks away from East Village, Soho, and NoHo. The neighborhood is bordered on the south by Union Square, with its shops, bars and famous outdoor Greenmarket, where it continues its still vibrant tradition of playing host to some of New York’s most diverse, young and colorful free spirits! To the west is the Flatiron District, the city’s first skyscraper. Gramercy sits within striking distance of more happening downtown nabes as well as Midtown.

Location was wonderful for us - we loved walking to all of the cool bars (The Tap Room right around the corner on 3rd Ave.), restaurants (Petite Abeille on 20th & 1st...amazing mussels!), shops (Union Square shopping is great) & transportation to other parts of the city (super close to the 4,5 & 6 train). The apartment was clean, large by NYC standards & also more than well appointed: they had everything from pots & pans to cleaning supplies to a hairdryer, laundry detergent etc.! Lina & John were great to work with and communicated very effectively with us the entire time. As other people have noted, it is a 3rd floor walk up...with a toddler it was challenging, but it's also New York (elevators are rare). Also, the main bedroom does face a busy street, but again, we expected some street noise...it's the city! We would & will definitely book this apartment again - an amazing value!
Recomendado 100%. Espacio de sobra para 4, lo de subir las escaleras que está en alguna resena, es una auténtica bobada, son dos tramos pequeños. Esta bien comunicado, de hecho se puede hasta andar. Esta incluso cerca de la parada de hop on hop off bus si decidís cogerlo. Muy limpio y cómodo, John y Lina estupendos, todas las facilidades en la entrada y salida. Sin duda lo recomiendo y volvería sin pensarlo.
We, 4 people, spent about 5 nighst in this apartment. It is very clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The laundry service was included. It is located in midtown of Manhattan and you easily can explore Manhattan's downtown and midtown. John and Lina were really nice. Thank you for having a very nice time. Die Wohnung war für unseren (4 Personen) 5-Tagesaufenthalt super gelegen in zentraler Lage Manhattans und hatte eine gute Ausstattung und war äußerst sauber. John und Lina waren überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Waschmaschine und Trockner konnten kostenfrei genutzt werden. Danke für die schönes Zeit.
My wife and I, with our adult son, spent a week in this apartment, and found it quite comfortable; it is clean and well-equipped, and is perfectly located for explorations in downtown and midtown Manhattan. Our hosts, John and Lina, were very friendly and very helpful. The only concern that we had, which has been mentioned by others, is that the bedroom windows of the apartment open onto a major crosstown street in "the city that never sleeps": we, too, would recommend earplugs, but will also say that, after the first night or two, we found ourselves getting used to it. Apart from the noise, though, we found the apartment quite perfect for our needs.
