EXTERNAL DESCRIPTION:
The apartment is on the second floor of a historic building, from the end of '800, in the historic center of Florence, few steps from Piazza Santa Maria Novella, now one of the most beautiful squares in Italy.
The area is well served by public transport and by taxi and it's full of bars, shops, restaurants and all the necessary services.
By walk you can easily reach the Central Station SMN, Piazza della Repubblica, the Dome, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio and all the main museums and monuments of Florence.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:
The apartment can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 people and it's equipped with 2 bathrooms: one with shower and the other with tub / shower off one of the double bedrooms.
The apartment (130sqm) is very comfortable and functional, can accommodate up to 6 people in 2 double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room. The entrance hall divides two living rooms, from which you can access to the bedrooms and the kitchen. The house also has 2 bathrooms, both complete with a shower and one with tub / shower located off one of the double bedrooms.
The kitchen has electric oven and microwave to cook any kind of dish, also has a fridge-freezer and gas stove. The living room has a TV and a small stereo. In the lounge there is also a style table that can accommodate up to 6 people, plus two comfortable sofas, one of which is a sofa bed.
LOCATION:
The apartment is situated in via del Porcellana, near the intersection with Via della Scala, a few steps from Piazza Santa Maria Novella, in Florence's historic center. Just turn a little 'around and you you can find out the most important of historic buildings and monuments in Florence: Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, Michelangelo's David, the Uffizi Gallery, the Bargello Museum and the Museum of the Opera del Duomo, dedicated to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
The area is rich in historical places, squares with live music shows and street performers; famous are the bars and cake shops in Republic Square, Piazza del Duomo and Piazza Santa Maria Novella where, throughout the year, are organized various temporary exhibitions.
Course there are shops and services of any sort: we can indeed find grocery stores, laundry, banks, pharmacies and gift shops.
There are many restaurants and pizzerias where you can eat high-level, but also trattorias and fast-food cheaper.
You can looking for Italian brand name shopping as Ferragamo, Cavalli, Armani, Versace, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Tiffany & Co. and many others which are along Via Tornabuoni, Via del Corso and Via Calzaiuoli, but also department stores like La Rinascente, Oviesse, Coin and Intimissimi.
The area is always well connected by public transport to all corners of the city.
On request you can reserve parking in the garage.
Apppartement très spacieux, propre et bien placé. La rue est un peu bruyante le soir puisqu'on etait un samedi, mais la fenetre fermee, on entendait rien. Internet Wifi marche tres bien. Le linge de maison est egalement fourni. L'emplacement est parfait et compte-tenu du prix c'est exceptionnel. Proche de la station du train et du centre de la ville. Je vous recommande egalement cet appartement, tres bon pour une famille ou a des amis .
The apartment is located in the center of florence and near the main tourist attractions of the city, however the room located near the street is very noisy and there are many mosquitos everywhere, is very appropriated for people who like antique places.
Thank you Marcela for your review. Actually the apartment is in the center of Florence and keeping the windows open could allow the entry of mosquitoes and some noise. Florence is a city where, fortunately or unfortunately, there is always movement of people in the center, built near the river Arno, which is beautiful to see, especially from Ponte Vecchio, but which attracts some mosquitos in the warmer seasons. Luckily Novella House is located in a street where few cars pass and it's quite far from the river. We're sorry that you've found these small problems, we try to solve them by providing double glazed windows, not to hear the noise of the street, and mosquito repellents to ward off insects.
