OBUDA is the oldest part of Budapest situated in Buda. District 3 lies on the ruins of the huge, ancient military camp of Roman legionaries called Acquincum, the northernmost frontier of the Roman Empire in continental Europe. Consequently, several amphitheatres and artifacts have been unearthed here. Medieval Obuda used to be a suburb filled with silk refineries and boat factories, forming part of Budapest by the time of its unification in 1873. Obuda was inhabited mostly by German-speaking Swabian farmers, and, because of its village-like atmosphere, was a favorite place of the petite bourgeoisie of Pest for outings.
The “Central Park” of Budapest, MARGARET ISLAND is next door! The island is mostly covered by landscape parks and is a popular recreational area. Its medieval ruins are reminders of its importance in the Middle Ages as a religious center. The island is completely free from traffic. It is a brilliant environment for jogging, biking and walking.
BUDA CASTLE is the historical castle complex of the Hungarian kings, first completed in 1265. It was built on the southern tip of Castle Hill, surrounded by what is known as the Castle District, famous for its Medieval, Baroque and 19th century living quarters and public buildings. Buda Castle is part of the Budapest World Heritage Site.
If you spend time in Budapest, at least a part of it should be at the soothing THERMAL SPRING BATHS. The Romans reaped the health benefits of hot springs here, but it was during the 16th and 17th century Turkish occupation that the bath culture was developed. Some of these spas are still in operation today. The Király and the Rudas are the finest examples.

Instant booking rentals can be booked directly within a few minutes, much like you book a hotel room on the internet. Only our highest quality rentals are chosen to be featured in our instant booking selection. On request
