In the House of Cats happens. It is located in a privileged area in the heart of Lisbon - Alfama.
This is the oldest neighborhood, more authentic, more lively and original and one of the most typical of Lisbon. Alfama is unique, resembling a small village in the center of a great metropolis where people meet and greet every day there is a great complicity between the neighbors.
It is known for its restaurants and fado houses, as well as the Popular Saints celebrations, especially on the night of St. Anthony, from 12 to 13 June.
The House of Cats date of 1935, and although small, is remodeled with all the comfort and full of the spirit that breathes in the Lisbon area. Every detail has been designed with much love and provide for an unforgettable stay and typically Portuguese.
The House of Cats is very sunny and consists of a dining room with seating for 4, one double bedroom, den, kitchen and a living room that accommodates two people. The kitchen has all the usual appliances and utensils, the bathroom with what is necessary for their welfare, towels and bed linen are included. So the House of Cats is prepared to provide a pleasant and full of comfort
The House of Cats is situated very close to the viewpoint of the Portas do Sol, the Castle of São Jorge, the Pantheon, the Fado Museum, being a few meters of transport, shops, cafes, restaurants, fado houses, bars, flea market , museums, art galleries, craft shops ... is in the center of your stay perfect.

Das Haus liegt sehr zentral im alten Viertel von Lissabon. Wunderschön. Die Wohnung war perfect für uns zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder (5+7 Jahre). Alles sauber und vor allem sehr liebevoll organisiert (Kaffee, Tee, Nudeln als Start, Salz, Gewürze da) Suasana ist immer erreichbar, wenns Probleme gibt, so dass man sich sehr aufgehoben fühlt. Lissabon ist einfach fantastisch und aufregend und mit den Kindern gut zu erleben.
I thought that I would love Lisbon before I go, but it wasn't like I've imagined...I totally fell in love with this city and one of the reason of this feeling was, of course, the beauty of the city, but I totally fell in love with the charm of Alfama and their people, their narrow and steep streets...and with everything in there! The house is lovely, and so the charming couple that rent the house! they made us our visit to Lisbon much easier and much better that I had imagined. The house is very very good and very complete and all is very very clean. The situation is great to go anywhere. There's a lot of typical restaurants and at night, if you want to hear fado is there is plenty of places to hear it. If you're thinking of spending a good some days in Lisbon, I highly recommend this place to stay. I'll never forget these days and I'm sure that I'll repeat.
