Luminous and Spacious, this urban studio on a second floor features maple hardwood floors, a large round dining table and a fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen displays its original brick and is equipped with a small double sink, microwave, medium refrigerator and an induction burner for cooking.
The bathroom has white tiles. There is satellite connection to the large HD flatscreen TV and free WiFi.

There are four 8 foot windows to naturally light the apartment during the daytime. The sun rises through the eastern window in the morning to say hello. Three large windows faces the street so some noise may be expected (it's NYC!) ... but it is on the second floor so nothing too extreme. However, it also allows for quaint views and people-watching without being obnoxious.

Two twin beds form a King Size bed. Couples have the option of keeping them together while individual travelers may separate them. There is one extra mattress in the room for a third person or we have full sized inflatable Aerobeds (not mattresses) that fit into the room for 3-4 people.
This remodeled, spacious and luminous New York Studio is located in a charming townhouse from the mid-19th century. Let us welcome you to a lively neighborhood where brick walls speak of its history and our cozy studios allow you to relax after a busy day. Discover the East Village, featuring ethnic and specialty foods and cafes. Some nearby pharmacies and shops are open day and night. Groceries, produce and hardware stores are within the block. There are also pubs and music venues nearby which allow for relaxing or catching a sporting event.

You have an open invitation to live the city like a New Yorkers. Come experience for yourself or return and "hang out" in the East Village.

New regulations effective May 1, 2011 in New York City do not allow for rentals shorter than 30 days for all buildings with 3 units or more. However, we will be filing and changing our status to become a 2 family unit, with the owner living in one unit and owning the entire building. Therefore, you can be assured that the rentals do not fall under the jurisdiction of the new regulation as well as long-term renters living within the building. This is a 100% private building/residence and we have not had any problems in the years the we have been renting.

LOCATION/TRANSPORTATION: The building is located in the heart of the East Village between Wall Street and the Empire State Building. There are bus stops on the block and taxis can be hailed any time of the day. There are several subway train lines (B,D,F,M,L,N,R, 4, 6,) within walking distance. We are only a ten minute walk to Union Square and NYU, or fifteen to Soho and Washington Square. With a little more energy you can get to Chinatown in 20 minutes and to Wall Street in half an hour.

AMENITIES: Our apartment sleeps up to four people, are fully furnished featuring hardwood floors, an equipped kitchenette (microwave, convection oven with one or two burners, refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, cookware, dinnerware), a full bathroom, one or two beds, dining and coffee tables, air conditioning/heater, Radio/CD Player, TV, DVD player, telephone and WiFi. Due to the building’s construction specifications we are unable to offer handicap access. Linens and towels are supplied. Pets are not accepted.

RULES
The guest shall use the premises only as a temporary residence and shall not engage in any commercial, illegal, dangerous, nuisance or other activity that could embarrass owner or cause owner to receive complaints from other residents or building management. The premises shall not be occupied by or left in the care of anyone not listed below. The guest shall not keep any pets without written permission from the owner.

The premises are furnished. Owner may provide guest with a written inventory upon arrival. Any issue regarding the inventory (linen, towels, and pots) must be raised within the first 2 days of occupancy.

Guest shall pay a security deposit in the amount of $200 USD to the owner or his representative in US cash or certified check. This security deposit shall be refundable at the end of the stay.

Owner or his representative shall inspect the apartment to be sure it is clean and that no loss has occurred or damage been done to the premises or property listed in the inventory. If everything is in satisfactory condition, owner shall refund the full security deposit when guest returns the keys or vacates the premises, unless otherwise agreed.

If damage or loss is found or the apartment is not clean, the owner shall deduct the proper amount of money and refund the balance of the security deposit when the guest returns the keys or vacates the premises, whichever is later, unless otherwise agreed.

If guest wishes to add more people to the reservation after having paid, they should do so by email request with a minimum of 48 hours in advance. The owner, in return will try to accomodate this request subject to space and bed availability with a charge of 30 dollars per day per extra person in cash. Owner reserves the right to accept or deny additional people and strongly discourages additional guests to show up on the spot.
