Mela Apartment is located in Brodarica, near the tourist part of Zadar, and some of the most city beautiful beaches of our city! The nearest beach with café bar is called Marex and is only 100 m away. It takes only 10 minutes by foot and little romantic ride with a boat ( that is public transport and an attraction of our location) to the center of old town or touristic part named Borik. Our family oasis is located in a quiet street and surrounded by garden and greenery, and yet it is only minutes away from the center of entertainment and events during summer! Spend your vacation in the pleasant environment of our apartment! Come and visit our beautiful Old Town, world famous sea-organ and beaches!

We are in non touristic part of Zadar called Brodarica near Borik, but only 10 minutes drive or walk from the city center!
The Borik tourist complex lays north-west of the 3000 year-old city of Zadar, close to the old part of the city, beside the Puntamika tourist complex "Falkensteiner". It is an elite summer resort, known for its villas and private houses, suitable for a first class holiday.

The pebble beaches are well taken care of. Due to the many sporting facilities in the place itself and its surroundings, Borik is great for sports lovers. Many events take place in Zadar. We recommend Borik not only to families with children because of the many beautiful and easily accessible beaches, but also to young people and those looking for an active holiday due to the vicinity of Zadar and diverse sporting facilities. However, those who find pleasure in quite sceneries, or even have a dog, away from the city beaches can find such in an extend of 5 to 20 km with car or public transport such as buses or ferrys.
Apartment Mela is on the firs floor of our family house and it is 56 m2 large, and fully equipped: in the kitchen there are utensils for the preparation and serving of food, stove and refrigerator, oven and toaster.
Apartment has washing machine, TV-VHS and HI-FI and is originally decorated by the owner- artist. However, there is no air-condition but old-fashioned plantation shutters and a garden are providing you with fresh air. Apartment has a 10 m long balcony on the south and 25 square m big terrace on the north side of the house wich are equiped with tables and chairs. However, we must honestly confess that the facade on the outside of the house is not yet finished but you will have nice view on the garden. Local store, super markets and bank are in surrounding from 20 to 100 m. There are many restaurants and coffee bars nearby. Parking is provided in a peaceful street in front of the house. Our location is very special because of the nearness of the sea, old town, and seaport with ferrys and excursion boats. It will take you only half of hour to the nearest marvellous island. You dont need to arrive with car, you can explore all wonderful destinations - by foot.
Zadar is 3000 years old Dalmatian city with long, turbulent and dynamical history. It is a cultural, economic and administrative center of North Dalmatia situated in the very heart of Adriatic sea.
With its marvelous archipelago and even five National parks and three Nature parks Zadar is one of the top touristic destinations in Croatia. Numerous cultural monuments witness to its long history.

In recent years the special attraction for visitors of Zadar, are the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun, works of architect Nikola Basic that have become the symbols of this city representing the primal connection between mankind and nature.
The Sea Organ situated on Zadars seafront resembles the multiple stairways with built in pipes ending by whistles that can play 7 chords, 5 tones each. Specially constructed by the music instruments workshop that produces organs, they provide exquisite pleasure gathered with the breeze and the peaceful sea.

The city is rich with spiritual and material culture, as well as touristic tradition and touristic identity established in present times. Zadar is built around the Roman forum inside the preserved city walls. It is the town of old Croatian sacral monuments and full of the archives, museums and libraries it preserves literary as well as the musical inheritance.

The trademark of the city is preromanic church of St. Donato from 19th century. Zadar is also the hometown of the most beautiful examples of Romanic architecture in Croatia: Cathedral of St. Stosia from 13th century, St. Krsevina church from 12th century and belfry of St. Maria from year 1105. You will also find powerful city walls with characteristic Harbor and Landside doors from 16th century, Square of Three wells and Square of five wells, City council and City guard, and numerous palaces – all guarded by even four Saints: St. Simeon, St. Anastasia, St. St Chrysogonus and St. Zoilo. Permanent exhibition of the church art with a worldwide significance, as well as the traditional manifestation of Musical evenings in St. Donato represents just a part of the rich cultural offer of the city.

Zadar dues its attractiveness to its natural central position in Adriatic coast, surrounded by 4 National parks: Plitvice lakes, mountain park Paklenica, unique cascade of Kretka River and a number of marvelous islands called Kornati. As attractive are the nature parks: Telascica, canyon of River Zrmanja and the largest natural lake in Croatia – Vransko Lake near Biograd.
