A "Floating Amsterdam Home" away from Home. "When you enter this cozy houseboat you immediately feel a great sense of comfort. You cannot just call this an ordinary houseboat. It's a home away from home with utmost hospitality by the family."
This houseboat has been recently renovated and redecorated in 2010. This charming place lets a cozy and colorful double room for honeymooners, couples and businesspeople. It has all modern facilities like internet access, DVD and cable TV, includes comfortable double bed, full bath in a glass mosaic decorated bathroom, special touches like flowers, quality fruit, breakfast amenities, piano & guitar and a personal welcoming atmosphere.
What's more, this houseboat has a LOUNGE OUTSIDE: a beautiful and spacious floating 20m2 terrace by plants and reed surrounded and decorated with charming garden furniture. You can either lounge outside and relax or sit outside for an enjoyable meal overlooking the canal (see pictures).
This hospitable houseboat lies central in a quiet and peaceful residential area of Amsterdam. It is at 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from all major attractions (like Dam, Rijksmuseum, van Gogh, Anne Frankhuis etc.), has shops and open air market around the corner and there are direct trams to Central Station (15 minutes).

We had a wonderful short stay in this very conveniently located houseboat. Despite icily cold weather outside we knew we had somewhere warm to come home to. The hosts were friendly and efficient and the fridge so well stocked that we hardly needed any extra provisions during our 3 night stay. The children loved the novelty of sleeping on the water. Overall we would definitely recommend this place to friends and might be back ourselves one day.
Good location for seeing the city without the craziness of the inner canals. In good shape, nice beds, good being on the water, close to key tram lines for station. Hosts even provided some food for breakfasts (eggs, jam, cheese, meats, fruits, juice). We did a bit of cooking there, and it worked well for that, too. We arrived early by mistake (my fault), but hosts were very accommodating as they finished up the readiness. Pros: variety of food markets nearby if you cook, roomy, warm, very hot water, convenient, good local experience, foods for us, house slippers provided, two sets of keys. Cons: no washer to use, sketchy internet, DVD didn't work for us. Definitely would recommend.
