This penthouse apartment overlooking the sea and the Aeolian Islands has been the Summer holidays residence of a very creative and arts loving family for over 30 years.
The resort is an excellent base for cultural explorations of Cefalu', Palermo, Taormina, Catania, Mount Etna, the Tindari Sanctuary and ideal for day trips to the Aeolian Islands (UNESCO).
The penthouse occupies half of the fifth floor of a late 70’s residential building, in a tranquil location and just across the street from a secluded stretch of sandy and rocky beach.
The whole exterior has undergone a new fresh marine make-over in 2011 together with the installation of a new lift (up to the 4th floor).
The location is within walking distance from a pretty fishermen village “Il Borgo di S.Gregorio” with good restaurants, the touristic port - which is undergoing a major redevelopment - and nightlife.
Capo d'Orlando - a charming little seaside resort is a 5 min drive or 25 minutes walk away and offers plenty of shops, bar, restaurants, clubs and beach chalets, pedestrian town center and much more.
The penthouse is tiled with ceramics throughout and it has been refurbished to high standards giving exceptional comfort to sleep 6 people in three double bedrooms featuring ceiling fans and air conditioning and spacious wardrobes.
The property is fitted with two bathrooms (one en-suite) with complete set and shower.
The large living area with built in sofas and a dining area with banquette seats and chairs for up to 8 people. Glass sliding doors lead to the stunning terracotta tiled terrace.
The fully fitted kitchen includes dishwasher, gas cooker and oven, fridge freezer and table.
The terrace - accessible also from one of the bedrooms and joining corridor - gives an open-wide view over a fabulous bay and the deep turquoise waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea with the Aeolian Islands aligned to the horizon.
This is the perfect setting for dining, stars gazing and listening to the sound of the waves.
This is a holiday which gives you the freedom to explore Sicily independently as well as uncontaminated and not over developed beaches at your door step.
