Rez de chaussée dans un immeuble du 17e siècle donnant sur cour, au coeur du marais, face au métro Saint Paul. Véritable havre de paix derrière ses murs de pierres qui fait oublier la vie trépidante du quartier.
Sa hauteur de plafond, ses poutres, un piano demi queue, son aménagement simple et rustique donne à l'appartement un petit air campagnard... Frais à la bonne saison, chaud et chaleureux quand il fait froid.
La cuisine et la salle de bain pas très grandes mais bien équipées et une mezzanine en guise de chambre pour un couple (on y accède par un escalier pentu qui ressemble un peu à une échelle).
A quelques pas de Bastille, de Châtelet, de l'île Saint Louis, de Beaubourg... Vous pourrez découvrir le Paris historique et vous rendre à pied aux musées, au spectacle, au cinéma...

Des échafaudages sont placés devant les fenêtres et il fait donc sombre dans l'appartement. Les travaux commencent le matin jusqu'à environ 16h30. Si vous passez vos journées à l'extérieur, alors l'habitation restera confortable en soirée et pendant les week-end.
Arrivée impérativement avant 19 heures.

This charming apartment couldn't be better located in the center of Paris. What you can't walk to (and there's a lot you can easily reach on foot) is just as easily accessible by Métro, bus, or taxi; the street itself has great shops and cafés, while the apartment is set back in the building and very quiet at night. I was a little concerned beforehand at the steepness of the stairs to the bedroom, but I adjusted quickly and really enjoyed the coziness of the sleeping loft. The kitchen was also larger than I had anticipated. And the piano? Well, how often do you have a baby grand at hand on vacation? Catherine and Philippe are wonderful landlords, and the neighbors became friends as well. There was construction going on during my stay and that was a draw-back, but I understand that it has moved to another part of the building now. All in all, this was an excellent choice for my two-month working holiday in Paris. I recommend highly!
This is a wonderful little apartment in what amounts to central Paris - easy walking distance to the Bastille, Notre-Dame, Louvre, Chatelet and with fantastic metro links (St Paul metro steps are literally outside the door) to everywhere else. The mezzanine bedroom floor takes a little getting used to - no standing upright here unless you're 4' tall - and the steps have a good 14" pitch but even those of us who are a little more cumbersome than the rest can manage it OK. There's a small, well appointed kitchen with washing machine, cooker, microwave and sink, and a small but perfectly adequate bathroom - though you'll have to stoop a little to stand 'under' the shower. The sofa is comfortable and handy to relax in after a day of exploring and the piano adds a touch of ambiance to the already wonderful interior with it's exposed oak beams and stonework.
Excellent choice in the very center of Paris with metro station at the door! We loved to stay in this cosy apartment and we recommend it. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathroom was nice. Comfortable sofa to relax, high speed internet, comfortable bed and pillows. The only minus is the stairs leading to the bed, not very comfortable to climb but nothing to worry about if you don't have mobility/locomotion problems. We will definitely come back!
