Stavros - Akrotiri: is a popular summer destination among the locals, because of its natural beauty. Stavros is 15km far from Chania and you can easily get there by car.
Akrotiri has few coastal resorts but some nice beaches which are popular at weekends with the inhabitants of Chania but fairly quiet during the week: Marathi, Kalathas and Stavros.

Stavros beach has a beautifull sandy circular cove, where "Zorba the Greek" was filmed, a movie candidate for Oscar award, starring Anthony Quinn and Alan Bates. It is a great spot for a relaxed stay next to the shallow water, which is great for children too. It is also pleasantly catered with umbrellas and sun beds. Located aproximately 2km far from Vlamis Villas and 3km far from Villa Penelope and Villa Clio.

Historical information: Akrotiri also has a few monasteries which are becoming popular with visitors: the impressive Agia Triada was founded in the beginning of the 17th century and was a prominent religious school until about 40 years ago. About 4 km to the north of Agia Triada, there is Moni Gouverneto (Our Lady of the Angels) and it dates from the 16th century. The building itself is quite plain but the church inside has a nice sculpted Venetian facade.

What can be more appealing than a property set in an open landscape on the edge of the sea, with magnificent panoramic views and perfect tranquillity.Vlamis consists of four adjoining single units and one separate unit of accommodation.The views of the sea and the sky are as far as the eye can see and at night, the starry lights of Kolymbari are clearly visible across the water.

There is a large car parking area , a well tended lawn at the front and a magnificent good size swimming pool above the rocks on the waters edge.Built in traditional style the accommodation is light and airy but during those hot balmy nights, air conditioning will provide extra comfort.

As you open the balcony door, stand back and take in the glorious views across the garden, the swimming pool and out to sea.Each unit has a spacious and private balcony and with the doors open, the view is fantastic even from the inside of every front room.

Vlamis junior villa unit was built as a one bedroom apartment and an adjoining studio, but by providing an internal door this has been converted into a small villa. The villa consists of two twin bedrooms and a sitting room with an open plan kitchenette. An extra bed can be provided in this room for a fifth person. It has two bathrooms, both with bath with a shower attachment. Large private balcony with sea views can be accessed from both the front rooms.
