About this private bedroom

Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands - Private bedroom

Welcome to our laid-back, "smoke friendly" house, where you will find a vaporiser in almost every room. It is Amsterdam after all and you'll find us in the heart of it.

We live on the lovely Keizersgracht canal and you will find us on the corner with Utrechtsestraat, just two blocks south of Rembrandtplein. So you'll find plenty of local bars, restaurants, cafes and coffee shops just around the corner.

The #4 Tram stops just outside our front door, but there is no need to buy a Tram pass as we are within walking distance to pretty much everything you are coming to see. We also have some bicycles that we are more than happy to let you use free of charge. Just let us know when you arrive. It's a fun and safe way to explore the city.

Our house is the whole 5 floor canal-side building. It's an old building that's been decorated in an eclectic and quirky style. We have divided up our house into a few single and double rooms, both with and without en-suites and a few larger self contained units we call apartments. All The rooms/apts are off a common stairway and share the same entrance, but the room/apt is your own private space that you do not need to share with anyone.

On the 3rd floor we have this small little room in the back of the house that we call the Library.

It makes perfect accommodation for 1 or 2 people on a budget, who are just looking for a place to sleep and leave their stuff in the centre of Amsterdam while they explore the city.

You have access to our shared bathroom with shower downstairs from your room on the ground floor.

There is a computer in the room for you to use that is connected to the internet and a server full of movies and shows for you to watch.

Free Secure WiFi is also available throughout the building. Just ask us for the password when you arrive.

We also provide sheets and towels, so you just need to bring the soap :)

We live in the building downstairs, so we are usually around if you need any help and advice or just to hang out and chat with.

*** During New Year's and Queen's Day we have a 4 night minimum stay ***

The room is exactly what it states on the web site; you should and be in it as little as possible. The walls are ultra-thin and we could hear every single thing from the room next to us. The air conditioner motor is right next to the window that you keep open with a book. There is no lift and the suitcases have to be carried up a few stories. The bathroom is small and shared between all the rooms and there is a room right next to the bathroom that can walk in at any time. The disco music played loudly by the owner wasn't appreciated with his guests throwing up in the shared bathroom. The room hasn't been cleaned in ages and all the previous visitors half smoked joints were under the bed. The room is used as a storage area and is full off old rubbish so there is no area to unpack and you have to life out of your suitcase. Please avoid if at all possible as the cost was very high for what you get. The only great thing was the tram stop 10 meters away.
