Casa da Torrinha
Located on Torrinha street, in the art galleries area, at walking distance between the city center and Rotunda da Boavista, where the Casa da Música is placed, and with easy access to the main tourist areas, the house is a charming townhouse typical of the first half of last century, which was completely renovated and adapted to modern use, without loosing its original characteristics and traditional atmosphere.
It's a large house with 4 double bedrooms ( 1 suite with double bed, 1 bedroom with double bed, 2 bedrooms with individual beds and another extra bed if requested ) sleeping up to 9 persons, 2 bathrooms ( one in the suite with shower and bathtub ), fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, garden and terrace with small swimming pool, cable TV, wireless net included.
Additional fees, if applicable, must be arranged directly with the Host after booking. Only accommodation fees are payable when booking through the HouseTrip platform.
We had a wonderfull time in Porto. Casa de Torrinha was much, much more beautiful than on the website!! Wonderfull rooms with great art on the walls. A nice pool to fresh up your feet after a long walk in the nice city of Porto. Joana is a very nice housekeeper who gives you the feeling to come home. Plenty of room for 7 persons. Wonderfull views out of your windows. Shops in the neighbourhood. We will come back if we go to Porto with a group again.
We had a very pleasant time, it was more than a house, we felt at home. You can reach the city in a quarter of an hour by foot. There is a lot too see in Porto, friendly people, beautiful buildings and the wide river Douro. I hope we can visit this place and house again.
Great place. The house is even better than it looks like in the photos, you´ll feel at home there for a few days, also walking distance to the city center. It´s a design house where you´ll feel at home, all rooms are confortable, heating working very well, sun light in every corner, great hot water, and fully equipped kitchen with more than you could even think about! Just, maybe, one of the beds for a couple is not very confortable and the 2 smaller beds room smaller than the others, but ok for a few days. And beware! Not free parking during the week, white lines means paid parking in the street in Portugal ------ La casa es fantástica, mejor incluso que en las fotos, es como tu casa de verdad, y está a unos 15minutos andando del centro de Oporto. Es una casa de diseño, todas las habitaciones son muy confortables ( solo una de las camas de matrimonio de la planta de arriba no está demasiado bien, y la habitación con las camas nido se queda un poco pequeña, pero para unos días sobra). La calefacción , agua caliente y todo lo demás funciona bien, la cocina tiene todo lo que podáis imaginar y realmente te sientes en casa Sólo una cosa! Cuidado con el coche! Las líneas blancas en Portugal son las azules en España, así que n se puede dejar el coche en la calle entre semana porque te multan y te ponen el cepo, así que ó pagas ó dejas allí el coche (esto es así en todo Portugal)
