Koudekerk is part of the Groene Hart, a magnificent alternate polder landscape between the major cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht. There are historic cities and authentic villages for culture fans, several ponds, lakes and rivers for water sports enthusiasts, nice amusement parks for the children and enough possibilities for the active fisher and walker. For example, you will be in the direct vicinity of the "Brasem" cycle route, which was recently declared the second most beautiful cycle route in the Netherlands! The beaches of Noordwijk and Katwijk are also within riding distance (20 km). The historical city of Leiden is certainly worth visiting. Other places of interest are for example the Keukenhof, the AviFauna Bird Park and the historical open-air Archeon Museum.
