INTERIOR
The Main House – Villa Hibiscus is mainly built from local materials and has spacious rooms decorated in the island style. Entry is into a spacious living room which has a comfortable sitting area. The back wall is made entirely of exposed stone with a corner fireplace and French windows leading out to a large stone terrace, furnished with dining table and comfortable seating from which to enjoy breathtaking views of the sea below. The fully-equipped country style kitchen is accessed from the living/dining room with a small breakfast table and a door leading to the terrace. There is also a w/c shower room on this level.
A few steps lead from the living room to the upper floor where there are two bedrooms and an elegant bathroom complete with a bathtub. One bedroom has twin beds and French windows out to the terrace and the second is the master bedroom with an old fashioned iron double bed and, again, French windows giving access to the terrace which is very close to the pool area.
The Studio – Access is either by stone steps from the main entrance or from the terrace. The spacious studio is furnished in a similar style to the villa and has two single beds and a sofa, with a small kitchen and w/c shower room. Outside there is a large covered terrace with an outdoor dining table from which to enjoy the stunning views.
EXTERIOR
Villa Hibiscus is built on the side of the hill and has differing levels of terraces and gardens, divided by stone walls. The private swimming pool is on the upper terrace, above the house with a dining area and BBQ on a slightly lower level, with sweeping views over the sea. A few more steps from here take you down to the main house and the studio is another level below. All the terraces face the sea and enjoy breathtaking, panoramic views.
SURROUNDINGS
The villa is situated above the shingle beach of Agios Petros, with a foot path leading from the bottom of the property straight to the beach and, from there, it is a further 15 minute walk over the hillside to the small fishing village of Steni Vala, approximately 1.5 km away, where there are a few tavernas serving local seafood, as well as two mini markets.
SUITABILITY
Villa Hibiscus is perfect for people who want quality accommodation in a traditional house. As it is so spacious, it is perfect for several couples holidaying together as well as for families, with the studio for the grandparents or even the nanny. Due to the many levels, it may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties or very small children.
