The apartment is located in the historical heartland of Florence. Overlooking a secluded courtyard in the picturesque quarter of San Frediano, the apartment is unusually peaceful for its location. Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, Piazza Signoria and Duomo are all within five minutes walking distance.

LOCATION
The governing administration of Florence designated San Frediano (the area in which the apartment is located) a model tourist location. The quarter of San Frediano was transformed into one of the most beautiful and interesting places in Florence by a project of urban development involving numerous artistic and cultural events. San Frediano was chosen as the model area is because it is home to many Florentine artisan workshops of renown. Within the area all kinds of amenities are available, ranging from restaurants to artistic and musical events. In San Frediano, culture and fun are extremely easy to find!
THE BUILDING
The apartment is located at the second floor of an ancient Florentine building. As is traditional, the walls are thick, guaranteeing a noise-free and peaceful environment. The apartment has an enchanting open-air private terrace (approximately 30m2) from which can be seen a beautiful view of the dome of the church “del Cestello”.
THE INTERIOR
The apartment has recently been renovated and refurbished, and every detail has been carefully considered to make the stay enjoyable. The exposed ceiling beams and parquet floor give the apartment a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The flat is extremely light. The apartment is composed of a main room, small kitchen, bathroom and a fantastic private terrace. The main room is fitted with a king-size fold-down bed and a high-quality pouf bed which can accommodate a guest of every age. To accommodate another guest, we offer a camping bed as well. The bathroom has been fully refurbished with the finest quality materials and finished to designer standard. The bathroom has a spacious shower, 120cm x 90cm. The apartment is furnished with a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle, iron, hair-dryer, amongst other appliances. The apartment come with the internet wifi, a TV, DVD player and a video games console to make the holiday more comfortable. For relaxation, there are English language books and DVDs. The safety inside the apartment is guaranteed by latest generation security door, and a wall safe.
PRIVATE TERRACE
At night, the terrace can be illuminated by LED lights and a designer lamp. Adorned with beautiful plants and flowers, the terrace is the apartment's real strength. The private terrace is divided into two parts, the surface of which is composed of a beautiful parquet. The first part of the terrace is taken up with an external lounge which can accommodate 2 or 3 people. The second part is taken up with a large table which can accommodate up to 8 people. The beautiful view of the dome of the church “del Cestello” can be enjoyed from the couch. A magnificently designed umbrella ensures that guests can enjoy the terrace even during strong summer sun.
HOSPITALITY
Upon their arrival, guests will receive complementary documents and information regarding Florence in the English language. These include:
- Map of Florence
- A city guide
- A map of recommended locations (restaurants, bars, markets, parking spots, etc.)
- A program of cultural events for the month
- A Florentine newspaper
Note: The folding bed is not very light, so its closure could not be easy for single women and for older people.
Apartment was exactly as advertised. Neighborhood was quieter and more authentic than the busier and more touristy city center. But easy to get to where we wanted to go - a short walk or quick bus ride (2 bus lines stop right out front of the flat). Lou was very helpful both before and during our stay. We would definitely go back!
L'appartement est idéalement situé pour visiter Florence à pied et pour sortir le soir! L'appartement est vraiment super: entièrement équipé, tout y est et en plus très propre! Les photos correspondent à la réalité. Le propriétaire est très sympatique, disponible et donne de bonnes informations touristiques.
This apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Lou the owner is friendly and is always happy to help before and during the stay. The location was excellent with good restaurants nearby and the main attractions just across the Arno! I loved Florence and was sad to go. My only suggestion is it would be helpful to provide information on how we can recycle as we wanted to dispose of our waste responsibly.
Au dela du fait que le propriétaire soit un Personnage très sympathique. La qualité et la propreté du logement sont irréprochable!! Sans avoir profité de la terrasse (temps pluvieux) j ai trouvé cet appartement PARFAIT. Je n hésiterai pas a ré booker ce logement lors de ma prochaine visite a Florence. Bravo. Ps: il m est déjà arriver d être très déçu par des locations.
