The surrounding area:
This apartment is located on Via Toscana, just outside the historic centre, a few hundred metres from Via Veneto with all its Dolce Vita glamour, which runs down towards the Spanish Steps. The area is an expensive and residential area of Rome and it is very safe and secure. Just a short walk from the apartment you will find Piazza Fiume and its exclusive boutiques and the Villa Borghese gardens, constituting the second largest public park in Rome. This park starts spectacularly at “Il Pincio”, a fantastic terrace offering some of the best views over Rome, at only 5 minutes on foot from Piazza del Popolo. From “Il Pincio”, this magical park extends itself over 80 hectares to the east, and contains a number of historic buildings, as well as the renowned Villa Borghese itself: An art gallery exhibiting one of the most important collections of ancient and renaissance art in Rome.
As for public transportation, several bus lines passes through Piazza Fiume and Porta Pia, and will take you to the historic centre in 10/15 minutes.
The closest metro stop is Barberini/ Fontana di Trevi.
