Pascoso Apartment

The apartment is part of the ‘Mulino’ – once the water mill of the village of Pascoso. The mill was powered by the fresh water stream which still runs through the garden. The apartment was renovated approx 15 years ago and before that had been the water-mill owner’s stable for their horses. It is situated on the ground floor and consists of 1 double bedroom, 1 living room with joining kitchen area and fireplace (for log fires); and 1 bathroom with shower. The living room includes a dining table to seat 6 people

It has a delightful private patio directly outside the front door which includes a BBQ and permanent table (made from the stone from the original water mill) and sun loungers. The rental price includes a Welcome basket including fresh bread, olive oil and wine.
(N.B. in addition to property rental price, the electricity and gas central heating will be charged according to meter usage - in Euros)

The apartment is conveniently located only a few minutes walk from the local ‘bottega’ where one can buy fresh bread etc, and also the restaurant Carnicelli where one can sample true home made dishes of the area. There is another restaurant only a further 10 min walk away closer to the village church which serves equally delicious food and wine.

Pascoso is a wonderful place for a walking holiday as it is situated in the southern sector of the Alpi Apuane, Tuscany's second highest mountain range. Rifugio Matanna is only a 15 min drive away – the perfect place to park your car and from there choose any of the beautiful easy walks or more difficult hikes to either the top of Monte Matanna (1318m) or Callare for example. If however you prefer shorter strolls then there are beautiful walks just stepping out of the door to walk around the village or down to the nearby San Rocco where there is a tennis court and football pitch - and also one of the many natural springs where it’s a treat to fill up some water bottles and take some of the glacier fresh water home.

It is also possible to go horseriding as a group or on a private hack (also organised by the family who run the local shop and Carnicelli restaurant).

And if you like cooking then you might want to try your luck at Porcini mushroom picking as the area is renowned for them.
