A century ago, the French Riviera had become the most stylish winter holiday spot for European royalty and aristocrats, particularly the British, who journeyed to Menton, Nice and Cannes for the gentle climate. Today is remains a cosmopolitan lively place to be; hosting 50% of the worlds super yachts in its harbours; and the highest numbers of art galleries and museums outside Paris.

The French Riviera is the perfect holiday destination all year round. Nice offers the very rare possibility of going skiing in the Alps in the morning and spending the afternoon on a beautiful Mediterranean beach. The public transport system is excellent, and it only costs 1 Euro to travel to Monaco, Antibes, and Cannes. Italy is 30 minutes away, and Corsica is accessible by ferry from Nice Port. The nearby hill villages “villages perches’ are amazingly scenic and dramatic and well worth a visit.

A bright apartment with lovely views near the sea, this apartment is in the ideal holiday location in the heart of old Nice. Situated on the corner of Rue de Prefecture, this 2 bedroom bright apartment has delightful views to mountains and church towers from its double aspect lounge windows. The apartment has been sympathetically refurbished to retain the authentic french feel with original features including high ceilings, tomette flooring, fireplace and windows/shutters. It is on the fourth floor and so gets the most sunshine.

Your property manager Mathew will be your contact in Nice to meet and greet you, ensure your property is serviced to a high standard and help with any problems. You may arrange to alter the standard times for arrival and departure with him. The service charge is €100-140 (includes cleaning, linen and meet and greet) dependent on numbers and stay which you pay Mathew direct.

Only steps from the beach and ‘Cours Saleya’, the open air daily market where you can buy fresh fish, flowers and fruit and veg – you are also within a few minutes walk to tram and bus stops for easy day trips as well as electric cars to rent by the hour and Nice Bikes. The boutique shops and best restaurants are just outside your door.

The Old Town is full of windy, pedestrian streets stacked with cafes and bistros, typical French boulangeries and superb restaurants. There is plenty to occupy you here; sauntering down the Promenade des Anglais; relaxing on the beach.

The apartment is decorated with quality stylish English and French furniture. The main bedroom has a double bed and the 2nd bedroom has two single beds. The lounge has 2 sofas (one of which is a double sofabed) – and a dining table which will seat up to 6. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave and washing machine.

Marc das apartment hat wirklich charme und ist sehr gemütlich. es liegt sehr zentral, ist sonnig und hat schönen ausblick aber ohne lift im 4 stock (gepäck). die engen gassen der altstadt und die vielen nachtschwärmer (zentraler treffpunkt vor dem haus) lassen einen vor 3 uhr früh kaum schlafen. die betreuung war sehr höflich und bemüht doch dauert in nizza anscheinend alles etwas länger. 1 woche mit zerbrochener fensterscheibe, 3 wochen ohne tv signal, heizung ging zwar aber einige heizkörper sind undicht. wegen austausch der haustürschlosses mußte ich stundenlang vor dem haus warten weil man mir den neuen schlüssel trotz hinweis nicht rechtzeitig übergeben hat. das internet war instabil und teilweise so langsam, dass man kaum skypen, internetsurfen oder emails bearbeiten konnte. wer echtes nizza flair wünscht und diverse abstriche (lärm in der nacht, hitze im sommer) macht, wird hier sicher zufrieden sein. ich habe mich wohl gefühlt trotz so mancher (auch ungelöster) probleme.

Respuesta del propietario We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay. It was for several weeks but sorry you experienced any problem at all. We find if the double glazed windows are shut if there is any noise it shouldnt disturb. We have plenty of powerful fans if it is hot. There are reputed to be two lifts in the Old Town and we do not have one of them! However the stairs are wide and shallow and the benefits of the views and less noise make it worthwhile. All now fixed and if anyone knows of tradesman that respond quickly please let me know!

Jane Lee Fantastic location right in the heart of Vieux Nice. All the conveniences you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The only downside we had was no refrigerator until our last night and no heating in the living area, but we worked around those problems. We even had TV, which our technological 11year old managed to work out and even better to his mind, internet access. Being the old town it is noise, so if your like my other half and hear everything at night then this may not be the location for you. But if your like me and can sleep anywhere then his is the place to be. There is no elevator to the apartment, which is located on the top floor. So you'll have to haul your luggage up 90 steps. This can be inconvenient, when your someone like my husband and you forget your glasses when going to dinner, which exasperates everyone else. But given the fact you've got so many eating options around you is no hardship to go back and get them. Also on the plus side it keeps you fit.

Evelyne Tres bel appartement au coeur du vieux Nice, decoré avec gout et prestations de qualité. Excellent accueil.Bon rapport qualité prix , mais charges " forfait menage" un peu elevées.
