Vienna Austria's Best Apartment Available Positively for Sure. Where else would you find the 3rd building every built in Vienna? Think about that. It is an old 13th century Monastery. You can stop looking. You have now found exactly what you were praying for. I think that the monks still pray here every morning.....However, now they are Orthodox Monks.

You are right in the middle of the city. St. Stephan Platz is 2 min walk, literally. From there you have access to metro stations U-1, U-3, that can take to every place in Vienna.

This building used to be owned by Napoleon. He liked nice real estate too. We are located 2 minutes from St. Stefan's Cathedral which is in the heart of the City of Vienna. We have a fully designer furnished apartment overlooking the Mozart House and St. Stefan's. Subway also 3 minutes away so that you can get to anywhere in the City of Vienna. Designer Art throughout the apartment. Master Bedroom has master bathroom. There is a second bathroom with a toilet and sink for extra guests. Separate dining room for 8 people. You can also have 10 - 12 with second table. In short, there is lots of room.......Huge entrance hall if you have lots of coats toys, suitcases etc. Separate eat in kitchen. You can really spread out in this apartment......ultra spacious
Apartment sleeps 11. Sofa-bed in Dining room and 2 sofas in Living room which can be used for younger people.. Master is a King size bed. Second bedroom has 1 twin and 1 king size sofa bed.. Stereo with Cds Flat Screen Tv with DVD player Everything is here Even, a grand piano which you can play (Just like Mozart). We provide a computer with Skype, so you can call all over the world and reach family and friends back home. We also provide you with two free cell phones which you can use to keep tabs on each other while you are visiting famous sites.

The Blutgasse Street, just behind St Stephen’s Dom is one of the oldest and most interesting parts of the city. The medieval houses, forming a complex of seven old buildings (others include Fähnrichshof Nos. 3-9), were restored and improved in 1965 in exemplary historical fashion. Where lovers of Schubert used to meet in the cafe whose name was altered to “Zur lustigen Blunze”, there are now dwellings and artists’ studios. The name “Blutgasse” (Blood Lane) is without historical warrant. According to legend, however, when the French Chivalric Order of Knights Templar was dissolved here, so many templars were slain that the narrow lane ran with their blood.
The Blutgasse District also has one of Vienna’s special architectural features: the “Durchhäuser” (passage houses). The passages lead through one or more courtyards to the next street, passing from Blutgasse through picturesque galleried courtyards (the Viennese “Pawlatsch”) into Fährichshof and further into Singerstrasse.
Right next to the Blut asse is Domgasse. The street famous street where Mozart lived- Domgasse 5, which is managed by Wien Museum, has been part of the new Mozarthaus Vienna. The composer’s only surviving apartment has been refurbished and offers an opportunity to find out how Mozart lived with the aid of specially selected reference objects.
Visitors start their tour of the new Mozarthaus on the third floor, where they can learn details about Mozart’s lifestyle. The exhibition on the second floor focuses mainly on Mozart’s operas. he Wien Museum Mozart apartment on the first floor is the authentic core of the building - the rooms in which Mozart and his family actually lived. It is the largest, most elegant and most expensive apartment that Mozart ever had - and the only one in Vienna to have survived. It consists of four large rooms, two small rooms and a kitchen. Mozart lived there from the end of September 1784 until the end of April 1787. In these two and a half years he composed a number of major works including Le Nozze di Figaro.
Since you are right in the center of Vienna. It will not be hard to find good restaurants. One that is right next to the apartment is famous restaurant called Chamäleon. There is many cute restaurants and bars in basically every street.

The legend of Blutgasse goes back to the beginning of the 14th century. The Knights Templar, whose influence, wealth, and tax free status had become a thorn in the side of Royals indebted to them, were under attack. King Philip IV of France had been pressuring the church to take action against the Templars. On Friday the thirteenth of October, 1307, he finally made a move against the group, arresting and torturing Templars in France until they confessed to various blasphemies.

According to the Legend, the Knights had founded a secret Refugium in the Fähnrichshof in Vienna. When the Refugium was stormed in 1312, the street now known as Blutgasse was turned red with the blood of the Knights.

Check-in is at 3 o'clock and check-out is at 11 o'clock. If necessary you can leave your luggage at the spot. .

Alojado el Diciembre de 2012

Lynda We enjoyed our stay in the very well located and spacious apartment. We would like to say thank you to Miro who helped us with a flat tyre on a public holiday. The apartment is obviously a home with personal belongings in most of the draws and cupboards. There is one bathroom and two toilets which was fine for a family of four but could be light on for a greater number of people. It was disappointing to have many light bulbs blown, the CD/DVD playing was not working and the linen from the previous guest was still drying around the apartment maybe s the dryer does not work.

Respuesta del propietario We enjoyed having Nicole and her big party until 2:00 a.m. with her husband's 60th birthday party which we completely catered . The apartment website has a floor plan which shows how the apartment is laid out, and it also states that we do have sofabeds. 10 is a very large group......We hope her husband liked the surprise birthday party. I know we do have a half bath and a master bath and are located next to St. Stefan's, but you can't have everything.

A recommander !

Alojado el Abril de 2012

Caroline Amazing location, huge apartment and the nicest owners you can think of. The entire flat is well-proportioned and 10 people can easily fit into it. We were lucky enough to get 4 sets of keys (including the set belonging to Liska which she generously lent us). Internet works great, same for the heating system and the TV/DVD player). The kitchen offers all the appliances needed. Overall, a very hospitable place, we felt at home while we were there and had the opportunity to have great dinners thanks to the big table in the living room. Towels and linen were also provided for which was brilliant. Last but not least, Liska supplied us with cell phones! Would not hesitate to rent this flat again if I go back to Vienna!
