Hello!
My name is Angelika. I am Teacher and Artist most of the year living in a Chinese village near Guangzhou/Kanton. Here I rent this 100-years-old traditional house, adapted its bath and kitchen to western requirements and like to rent it out to guests, who want to experience China a bit more real and more true than a normal tourist’s life can provide.
Even fair visitors may enjoy the extra flair in my house. They can reach the “Kanton Fair” thank to the new fast train all in one within one and a half hour.
Our position here is the 22nd north latitude – with a pre-tropical climate. But the old Chinese knew how to deal with it, what the house is evidence of. Nevertheless for security reason I installed four air-conditioners.
Guests can sit in the leafy yard or at the common dining table in the inner hall (see the floor plan), undertake excursions to the urban hinterland with bikes of mine, or with the help of “my” taxi-driver, who speaks a little bit of English, comfortably reach the ferry to HONGKONG, the fast-train to GUANGZHOU, with easy access to all fairs and almost by foot pass the border to MACAO.
I will provide an ordinary west-breakfast with coffee, bread and cheese in the morning.
Please take into consideration to share life-space with two, almost invisible, cats.

Ich heiße Angelika, bin Künstlerin und Lehrerin und wohne in einem chinesischen Dorf nahe Guangzhou. Hier habe ich ein 100jähriges Traditionshaus gemietet, Bad und Küche dem westlichen Bedürfnis angepasst und vermiete es sehr gern an Gäste, die China ein wenig wirklicher, ein wenig echter erleben und kennen lernen möchten.
Wir befinden uns hier am 22.nördlichen Breitengrad: die alten Chinesen wussten wie man bei diesem Klima wohnt und das Haus hier beweist es. Sicherheitshalber habe ich aber doch auch 4 Klima-Anlagen installieren lassen.
Gaeste können im grünen Hof sitzen oder an der Gemeinschaftstafel in der Innen-Halle (siehe Grundriss-Zeichnung), in die nächste Umgebung Ausflüge mit dem Fahrrad unternehmen und mit Hilfe "meines" Taxifahrers, der etwas Englisch spricht, bequem zur Fähre nach HONGKONG, zum Schnellzug nach GUANGZHOU/KANTON, dort schnell zu den Messen! und zum Grenzübergang nach MACAO gelangen.
Achtung: im Haus leben (unauffällig) zwei Katzen.
