Large 4 bedroom dormer bungalow with 3 bathrooms (2 large ensuite which each can accommodate 3 plus a travel cot), 1 of the ensuite rooms is on ground floor level and would be ideal for those who have mobility difficulties or those who just can't face the stairs at the end of a long day!! There is another double and a single bedroom. Outside you will find a large back garden, with decked area and patio, complete with picnic style table, bbq, kids swingset and playhouse for you to enjoy when the weather allows. We also have 2 travel cots and mattresses for those with babies.
There is also a cosy 2 bedroom cottage attached which makes the properties ideal for large groups or those who want to holiday together yet have their own chill out space!! The houses can also be let in their entirety and are suited to both small and large groups or families alike. The 2 bedroom cottage is available at a lower rate and would suit 4 to 5 with a sofa bed in the sitting room for the 5th person. Please enquire.
If you are a large group, the additional rate of €20 per person is available for up to 9/10 people in one house. Should the second property be required there is an additional charge. Again, please enquire.
We are 15/20 minutes by bus into Dublin city centre with buses every 10 minutes during peak times. At peak times, journey will take longer. Bus stop is 100m from the house.
From the bus stop in Dublin city centre at the famous Trinity College, which houses the Book of Kells, Temple Bar, Dublin’s party central is only 3 minutes walking. As is the National Wax Museum and the Central Bank. Another 10 minutes stroll is Christchurch Cathedral, Dublinia and Dublin Castle. A little further on is the Guinness Hop Store.
We are approximately 15 minutes from the airport and if you are interested in getting out in the sunshine, Malahide Castle and its large grounds, golfing, restaurants, pubs and the marina are about 10/15 minutes by bus with Portmarnock which is the next town (about a further 5 mins) along and has a glorious sandy stretch of beach and the PSLC Leisure Centre which has a swimming pool and gym for public use.
There is a leisureplex (bowling, snooker, pool, video games, young kids play place, quasar) which is open 24 hours for all you insomniacs, and cinema across the road from the house. There are grocery shops only 5-10 minutes walk away.
You will be pleasantly surprised by the size of this house, which has on numerous occasions been compared to the tardis.

Wow! What a find. We were visiting Ireland from Australia and we were looking for holiday accommodation that would have room enough for all of us. We were two families travelling with young kids. We trawled the internet looking at Dublin hotels and city centre apartments but were disappointed by the choice available. Ideally, we were after a city centre apartment and not a hotel room with young children: we wanted to be able to enjoy a glass of wine after we had put the kids to bed. But we didn’t feel like any option properly suited our needs: apartments were either too small or extortionately priced and we had been disappointed before by city centre accommodation. We were so lucky we found this place! It ticked every box and more. The area was nice and safe in a quiet, private street connecting to a main road so was only a short hop from the city centre. The bus stop was directly across the road and we were only waiting a couple of minutes for a bus that had us in the heart of the city in 15 minutes (buy prepaid tickets at the post office or have exact fare). Taxis always arrived promptly when we ordered them too and the house was also close to the airport. The house was ideal for us with young families, allowing us plenty of space to spread out and relax and enjoy ourselves. The interior was recently refurbished and was really cosy and comfortable. Brand new mattresses meant we slept like a dream! The kitchen was really big with a massive kitchen table and plenty of chairs and all mod cons. Something you don’t get at city centre apartments was the welcome from the host: he had baked us fresh bread for our arrival and the house was well stocked with all the basics and provisions. Plenty of clean bed linen and towels and hot water and three bathrooms! All bathrooms were stocked with shampoo etc. Supermarket shopping was close by and very handy for us to stock up on goodies for our stay. The kitchen had a large fridge/freezer, double oven and microwave. There was free wifi, satellite tv, and also games, books and dvds provided for us. There was also a “leisure-plex” across the road with cinemas, bowling and amusements to keep the kids happy when we had a wet day. We also had plenty of space to receive guests when some old friends dropped over to meet us. Plenty of chairs and plenty of space and a big kitchen to enable us to cook up a big spread made for a really fun afternoon. It makes the difference with young children compared to being stuck in a hotel room or a tiny, cramped apartment. My only complaint was that our time flew in too quickly and we felt ourselves reluctant to leave! Our host was more than accommodating and helpful and friendly and made himself available when we needed to ask a question or needed help with something. He seemed to genuinely care that we enjoyed our stay. He even allowed us a late check out on the morning we were leaving which made things so much easier with small children. We would most definitely stay here again. The house made the experience for us with the kids and we had a fantastic time reconnecting with some old friends in Dublin. We had a ball in the city centre. Highly recommended Dublin accommodation for families and friends. For space, location and price it was spot on. And then the welcome from the host was priceless.
