The Lefferts Gardens Residence B&B is located in a classic historical brownstone in Brooklyn, New York. It is a sophisticated Brooklyn boutique extended stay B&B, where you can experience tranquility with old world charm and new world ambience.
The house was designed in the 1890’s by William M. Miller as part of various unique residences constructed of brick, limestone, and sandstone. This four story brownstone is tucked in the middle of a picture perfect block, with trees aligning both sides of the street. The house has some of the best preserved original Tiger Oak and Mahogany woodwork. The house features carved mantles, fully functioning pocket doors, glass windows, and door panels.
Another outstanding element is a massive skylight with stained glass that floods the stairway and hallway with natural lighting. The bedrooms which are located on the two upper levels contain triple bay windows from floor to ceiling, gorgeous parquet floor, and much more. The top floor's front room overlooks the surrounding homes on Rutland Road, while the back room overlooks the home's backyard. In addition to our private, blissful light filled rooms, our great location has so much to offer.
Lefferts Gardens is one of many growing exclusive neighborhoods in Brooklyn. It’s adjacent to Park Slope, along with the famous Prospect Park. Lefferts Gardens Residence Bed and Breakfast is easily accessible to many of Brooklyn's attractions. The nearby train station, Prospect Park station, is walking distance from the house. The Prospect Park station is accessible to the B and Q train, however it connects to all major subway lines such as the 2, 3, 4, 5, R, N, S, LIRR, etc. These trains are frequent, safe, and reliable. Some of the nearby attractions include the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Prospect Park, the Prospect Park Zoo, the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Public Library, Coney Island, Luna Park Amusement Park, NYC bus sightseeing tours, the newly built Barclays Sport Center. The Barclays Sport Center is home of the Brooklyn Nets and most of the new and exciting entertainment.
Manhattan, which is mainly referred as ‘the city’, is merely twenty minutes away via subway train. Some popular attractions are Central Park, The Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center, Madison Square Garden, Times Square, Empire State Building, Carnegie Hall and much more. And believe it or not, most of these attractions are about twenty or less minutes away.
Along with our location, we provide beautiful rooms for your relaxation and comfort. Each room includes housekeeping and breakfast for a nominal fee. Requests for breakfast need to be made in advance. The rate of each room is determined by the size of the room. All rooms are identical except for the dimensions.

The house is an elegant restored 1905 brownstone, with exceptionally beautiful woodwork & lighting fixtures. It is a gem for the quiet respite it provides from the hustle & bustle of the city. The shared bathroom is completely modern & stylish, and the third floor has a nice kitchenette for guests’ use. (There are many stairs.) Wi-fi worked great. We slept underneath a gorgeous chandelier! It is conveniently located a half-block from Flatbush Avenue – where shops, grocery stores, and restaurants of every type imaginable exist, and easy walking distance to the subway (and even closer easy-to-use, frequent bus routes). It is a short bus ride from Grand Army Plaza, walking distance from Prospect Park, and not far from the Brooklyn Museum of Art – all places worthwhile to see. The diversity of the neighborhood was exhilarating – the best of New York! We highly recommend it to all travelers seeking unique accommodations, historical beauty, or quietude.
A beautiful historic house set on a quiet street. Close enough to public transportation. Michelle and her family are wonderful hosts, making sure that you have every need met. Her daughter even took me to Prospect Park by car!! The walk from Prospect Park station to the house could be seen by many single female travellers as unsafe, as there were always many people loitering, but I had no problems. Possible more expensive than other properties, but served my needs very well.
