Welcome to our laid-back, "smoke friendly" house, where you will find a vaporiser in almost every room. It is Amsterdam after all and you'll find us in the heart of it.
We live on the lovely Keizersgracht canal and you will find us on the corner with Utrechtsestraat, just two blocks south of Rembrandtplein. So you'll find plenty of local bars, restaurants, cafes and coffee shops just around the corner.
The #4 Tram stops just outside our front door, but there is no need to buy a Tram pass as we are within walking distance to pretty much everything you are coming to see. We also have some bicycles that we are more than happy to let you use free of charge. Just let us know when you arrive. It's a fun and safe way to explore the city.
Our house is the whole 5 floor canal-side building. It's an old building that's been decorated in an eclectic and quirky style. We have divided up our house into a few single and double rooms, both with and without en-suites and a few larger self contained units we call apartments. All The rooms/apts are off a common stairway and share the same entrance, but the room/apt is your own private space that you do not need to share with anyone.
At the top of our house is our Penthouse "Apt.", offering funky loft style living in the centre of Amsterdam.
We do not have an elevator in the building, so be prepared for a little climb.
The Penthouse is essentially a large room at the top of the house with a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom and shower are in the main room just off to the side. It's a funky open plan design, so it does not provide much in terms of privacy.
On the upper mezzanine level there is a double bed that can comfortably sleep two and the couch in the main room can also be used as 2 single beds, so the penthouse could sleep up to 4 people in total.
Best of all the penthouse benefits from it's own outdoor patio. It's a perfect place to sit and relax when the weather is nice and there is even a BBQ that you can use.
There is a computer in the room for you to use that is connected to the internet and a server full of movies and shows for you to watch.
Free Secure WiFi is also available throughout the building. Just ask us for the password when you arrive.
We also provide sheets and towels, so you just need to bring the soap :)
We live in the building downstairs, so we are usually around if you need any help and advice or just to hang out and chat with.

Had a great holiday. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. Would suggest this apartment is better for friends/ young couples... Could have been cleaner, if you dont like animals stay away as they have pets and there is no bathroom sink but not the end of the world... overall good quality-price ratio. Would stay again.
Appartement bien situé, acceuil sympa, mais.... 78 marches d'escalier pour y accèder, logement minuscule, tout est sale, équipements de cuisine trop petit pour 4 personnes, aucune possibilité de s'assoir à 4 à l'intérieur pour manger ou alors assis par terre. C'est plus du camping au prix d'un appartement. Mauvais fonctionnement de l'eau chaude. Le wc se situe derrière l'écran de l'ordinateur et la douche sur la gauche, les murs ne vont pas jusqu'au plafond....pas de porte, pas de lavabo...c'est plus que limite. Devrait pas être loué pour plus de 2 personnes. Très déçu, à éviter a tout prix.
Réponse du propriétaire I am truly sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Obviously the space was not what you had imagined when you booked it. All I can say is that I have updated the description of the Penthouse to more accurately describe the eclectic style and open plan nature of the space that you rented. As for the hot water, I wish that you would have told us. I would have certainly had it fixed for you, which it is now and the hot water is functioning properly.
