Colosseum Imperiali is a unique luxury apartment that sleeps 10 persons, located on a unique location right in front of the Colosseum and the Foro Imperiali. The apartment is located on the 3d floor (with elevator) of a beautiful 19th century Palazzo. Because the apartment is on the corner with 10 large windows, it offers truly amazing views on the Colosseum, the arch of Constantine and the Foro Imperiali.
The total surface is 220m2. You enter the apartment in a spacious living room with two large comfortable sofas in front of a large stone fire place. There is some modern and tasteful works of art that contrast very well with the ancient Roman background. A large flat screen tv hangs above the fireplace. All rooms are connected by large French doors that , when opened, give an even more spacious and bright impression to the already very bright apartment. On the right hand side you can enter the dining room that has a large oval table. Next to it there is a bedroom with two twin beds and also the fully equipped kitchen with a service toilet.
On the other end of the living room you'll find the master bedroom located on the corner of the apartment. Three large windows offer the most spectacular views. In the windows stone seats are created so you can have a glass of wine meanwhile looking at the heart of the Old World.
From the living room you can enter e corridor that is covered with rich wood. Here you'll find two bedrooms; one twin and one double bed. From here direct views on the Colosseum. In case you stay with 6 persons one bedroom can be used as a small gym with professional material. There are two bathrooms; one with tub and overhead shower and the other has a large walk-in shower.
The apartment has air conditioning in 4 rooms and autonomous heating, internet ADSL connection (wireless) and satellite TV. Even with 8 persons the apartment will offer loads of room. The outside scenery and beautiful interior design make the Colosseum Imperiali one of the finest vacation rentals of Rome.

Although the appartment was very generous in size, it is certainly not a five star space. The living room furniture was very dirty and the fabric on the arms of the couchs had large tears. A large cover was thrown over the couches to hide the defects. Felt like motel living. No ammenities were available. Had to buy garbage bags, dishsoap, paper towels,etc. Coffee table was missing a pane of glass, shower overflowed, could not light the stove, lighter not working, coffee pot handle was broken with sharp edges, cups were stained from last guests. The picture on the website must have been taken ten years ago.... Worst of all, a six foot tall vertical molding, fell on the children's bed. Thank God they were not in it. Apparently this was known by the owner and never fixed. The lights went out several times forcing us to go to the basement to get it back on and there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms. All this for $5200, for a 5 day stay. We certaily don't recommend this place.
L'appartement était conforme à nos attentes. Il est idéalement situé avec une vue magnifique sur le Colisée et le métro au pied de l'immeuble. La décoration est soignée, les pièces sont spacieuses. L'équipement est complet. Dommage que la deuxième chambre avec un couchage double ne soit pas climatisée. L'accueil sur place, assuré par Massimo, était très agréable ! Vraiment un séjour très plaisant...
I was recently asked what the best hotel was that I ever stayed in. At the time, I couldn't answer because so many places have given me such wonderful memories. The ones that came to mind weren't necessarily 5-star hotels but accommodations that were unique (a homestay in Papua New Guinea), uniquely decorated (a former Mughal palace in India) or provided me with a chance to get to know the locals (several hotels in Bhutan). But after staying at the Colosseum Imperiali, I can honestly say that this is one of the most beautiful accommodations on the planet that has, without a doubt, the best view I've ever experienced in any hotel, bed and breakfast, pension or apartment rental. Though Rome was calling us, it was very difficult to pull ourselves away from the window seat that overlooks the Colosseum. We spent our mornings, afternoons and evenings mesmerized by the changing light on this ancient structure and watched the tourists and Romans below as they milled about, drank coffee, ate gelato and, like us, marveled at the ruins. But the Colosseum Imperiali isn't just about the view (though it can't be denied that it's probably its single most important selling point). The apartment itself is gorgeous and huge. It sleeps eight very comfortably and has a large living room and dining room as well as two full bathrooms. Though we were only two, I wouldn't hesitate to rent this with family or a group of friends - there's plenty of room that we wouldn't be bumping into each other. Though the kitchen is small (by US standards, at least) it comes with everything you'd need to be comfortable for a long-term stay (stove, coffee maker, fridge, etc.). It's well-stocked with kitchenware and utensils and there's even a washer and dryer. The decor is artfully done - simple yet very homey and the furniture is all very comfortable. The property has WiFi and there were at least a couple of TVs (but we never turned them on to see what was available). The building itself is secure in that there are three locked doors just to get into the building. There's a (very overpriced) coffee shop/restaurant downstairs and many other restaurants and cafes within a very short walk. The property manager, Pascal, was wonderful. He met us upon arrival and showed us on the map his recommended wine bars, grocery stores and restaurants. We felt welcomed and at home. I only wish our stay was longer!
