Grapevine cottage has been renovated to an extremely high standard whilst keeping the rustic charm of the original building. This is the ideal place from which to explore the best the Algarve has to offer or just unwind, relax and enjoy your time in Portugal.
Positioned in the village of Torre and set in the breathtaking Sierra Caldeira, the cottage has outstanding views of the countryside, coast and sea. We are on the Via Algarvianna (a walk stretching from the East Coast of Portugal to the West,) just 2 kms from the beautiful traditional Portuguese town of Alte, 45 minutes by car from Faro airport to the East and 25 minutes by car due North of Albufeira, 25 minutes in a South Westerly direction by car will take you to Algarve Shopping one of the largest retail outlets along the Algarve.
The gorgeous sandy beaches and award winning golf courses are just minutes away from Algarve shopping as is the Central Algarve town of Albufeira.
For those of you wishing to travel around,the beautiful Monchique mountains are just 35 minutes by car away from us and a further hour will take you to the West Coast of Portugal for some of the best Water Sports in Portugal.
The spectacular scenery around here is home to many varieties of Birds and Flowers and there are many fabulous walks and cycle tracks.
There are several Nature Reserves and for Bird Watchers and Nature Lovers this is the perfect place to choose.
Grapevine Cottage is a self contained 1 bedroom cottage with a large open plan kitchen/dining/living room. There is satellite TV currently tuned to UK freesat channels and 2 double futons offers further sleeping. here is a woodburning stove for use during the winter months if the temperature drops.
A large shower/wet room provides a power shower, w.c., bidet and handwash basin as well as a large under stair cupboard for storage.
Stairs lead up to a double bedroom currently set up with twin single beds.
Outside is a private patio table and chairs for outside dining. There is a beautiful swimming pool, shower and sunbathing terrace with sun beds as well as open gardens. On the terrace is a large purpose built bbq with sink and a laundry room which also houses a further w.c.
The property is ideal for those wishing to take a self catering holiday although meals, drinks and snacks are available. The cottage is one of three that share the pool, bbq and sunbathing terrace.
Owing to our rural position a car is advised.
