One-bedroom apartment available in upper Manhattan: close to subways, approximately a 30 minute commute to midtown Manhattan.
The apartment consists of:
Eat-in kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishware and utensils. Kitchen table and chairs.
Private bathroom with shower, sink and tub. Towels are provided, long term stays wash on their own.
Living room is equipped with a full futon couch that pulls out into a bed, table and chairs, tv, stereo, wifi, and AC.
Bedroom is furnished with a double bed, linens, a small dresser and a desk and chair. There is also AC in the bedroom. Heat is included in the apartment during the winter months.
There are three closets in the apartment, equipped with hangers and shelving. A hallway and foyer complete the apartment.
This apartment is located on the fifth floor of a walk-up building. It has lots of light, high ceilings and quiet back view. It is in a pre-war building on a tree-lined block. Please note there is no elevator, it is on the fifth floor facing away from the street --it is very quiet and private.
A 24-hour laundromat is located around the corner on Broadway. Shops and restaurants abound on Dykeman street and on Broadway, 2-3 blocks away. Grocery stores and other shops also 2-3 blocks away.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND
Inwood, the northernmost neighborhood on the island of Manhattan, is bordered by Washington Heights to the south at Dyckman Street, the Hudson River to the west, and the Harlem River to the north and east.
From the sidewalk, it is possible to look up and down long avenues lined with six-story buildings of variously colored brick facades, some dating to the Art Deco period.
WHAT TO DO
Inwood’s western portion is occupied by the vast Inwood Hill Park. In addition to athletic fields and playgrounds, it has kayak and canoe launch sites along the Hudson River and early morning “watches” for bald eagles. The nearby Inwood Canoe Club has a free kayaking program on Sundays in the summer. And each summer the Inwood Shakespeare Festival is held in the park.
The much smaller Isham Park sits adjacent to Inwood Hill Park atop a steep hill. Offering green space and long views down the avenues, it was in the 19th century the home of William B. Isham, a leather merchant.
Restaurants have sprung up in the last two or three years near Inwood Hill Park, like the Park Terrace Bistro, on Broadway near Isham Street, and the Indian Road Café and Market, at 218th Street, which has weekly live music, trivia night and a knitting group. A restaurant row [has] developed on Dyckman between Seaman and Payson Avenues.
THE COMMUTE
The A train stops at Dyckman and 207th Streets, for a 30-minute trip to 42nd Street, and the elevated No. 1 train stops at Dyckman Street and Nagle Avenue, and 207th and 215th Streets at 10th Avenue. The 100, 7, and 20 buses travel along Broadway, and the 12 runs along Isham and 207th Streets.

Alles Super. Kann ich wärmstens weiter empfehlen für Menschen, welche nicht zu viel Geld haben. Wir hatten alles da, was wir brauchten. Die Lage ist sehr gut. 5 Minuten entfernt (zu Fuß) ist die nächste Suway Station, und mit dieser kommt man an alle zentralen Plätze. (ca. 20 min bis ins zentrum von Manhatten) Preis Leistungsverhältnis war gut!
