Casa Baba, is a furnished family-run holyday apartment. It is located in the quiet and elegant Balduina district, very close to the heart of the downtown (less than 15 min. by bus) and in the highest part of the City center. The district is not touristic, so our guests can experience the real roman life, and all shops and restaurants apply normal prices.
Mount Mario, the highest hill of Rome in which Casa Baba is located, dominates the heart of the City center with the highest and best viewpoints. In this site the Via Francigena, running its last stretch, stops for a break in the Mons Gàudi, the natural balcony where pilgrims coming from the North were stopping seeing for the first time, after so long trip, the S.Peter's Dome.
The apartment is just at 5 minutes walk to the "Rome Cavalieri" (Waldorf Astoria) congress center.
Casa Baba, perfect for couples or a family, recently restored, is composed of two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, a small vivible kitchen and a lovely of about 100m2 garden which is perfect for children and to enjoy the evening freshness or a barbecue during summer or spring. All kind of shops you need and four supermarkets are just few minutes walk. A 24h automatic shop (with snacks, beers, drinks and coffee) recently opened just 20 meters away from the garden.
The bus stop of lines 913, 991 and 907 (99n is the night bus) is just fifty meters walk from the building, and all these bus lines go to the downtown, to the A underground line and to St.Peter and Vatican City area in few minutes.

YES, Casababa is a lovely place. We had stayed here with two of our grandchildren, and there is a definite plus compared to a hotel being in a quite environment, spacious, quite, clean, and yet there is space for the children, a lovely garden (although rain has stopped us using it fully). I recommend it for family people who want to get in and out of Rome's crowded tourist attractions several times during the day. For my weight, the shower cabin could have been a bit wider.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L'accueil de Francesco a été très convivial et sympathique. Nous recommanderons l'appartement et reviendrons probablement pour finir nos visites. Message à Francesco: promis nous n'oublierons plus nos clés dans l'appartement :-) !!!! J'ajouterai un seul point d'amélioration : mettre plus d'information et de documents en français dans l'appartement puisque de nombreux français s'y rendent. Merci encore Francesco.
