“WOW! Amazing” booked this villa for a hen party of 21. After reading negative reviews on this site about break ins I emailed Jim and he called me straight away and put my mind at ease. The communication before I went was excellent and first class when I was there! The villa is AMAZING! So so clean and tidy. Beautiful pool and gardens. Excellent location and Maguel the manager in Portugal was so good, he was just a phone call away for your every need. Nothing was too much trouble, taxis, advice any issues were dealt with promptly with a smile!! He was brilliant! I honestly cannot thank the staff at Columbia holidays for providing an amazing villa at excellent prices! We loved every second of our holiday and I will definitely return. The villa could not have been more secure if they tried, shutters, alarms, sensors, safety deposit box.... what more could you want??? We certainly felt secure!! Please book this villa if you want great location, luxury accommodation at affordable prices and Maguel on hand to help! :) Thank you for the most amazing time :))

“Our little piece of heaven” The Cabrita family are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. If you have a problem they are always there to help and assist you. I was unfortunate enough to be mugged, Gabriel took us to the Police Station and stayed with us until 12.30am, then took us back to Pomba Branca, what a star.I must say that we have been going to Portugal for 25 years and this is the first time such an incident has happened, It certainly will not put us off we have already booked for next year. Pomba Branca is home from home, every comfort is provided, hygiene is faultless, conveniently nearby are Supermarkets, Chemists, Restaurants, Banks, One stop booking tour office, Taxi rank, Bus stops, Doctor, Dentist, Hairdresser and Margareths Massage Saloon(Highly recommended for that extra bit of pampering). Pomba Branca has it all and the beach is just a short walk away and if you are lucky lots of lovely sunshine.

“Excellent Condo” I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. It is a new, very nice place to stay with everything you might need while you are there. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine - nice! The owners were very expedient in communicating with us before and during our stay. The apartment has underground parking which is very handy. The pools looked great ( a little too cool yet during our stay). There are some DVD's and great books for your use while you are there. The view from the balcony is amazing and a great place for morning coffee while soaking up the sun. The beach and town centre and restaurants are all walking distance. Lagos is also a great location from which to take many day trips and check out other villages and beaches. We went to Sagres, Mochique, Silves and Aljezur while we there and several times took a long a picnic to enjoy on the beautiful beaches while listening to the waves crash into shore. The grounds are kept very clean and the guards at the reception were great as well. You do have to get your own WiFi or you can use the computer in the reception for no extra costs or many of the restaurants also have free WiFI.

“Fantastic apartment in an ideal location.” This apartment is ideally situated minutes away from the busy Strip in Albufeira but you would never know as we were there for ten days and not once did we hear any noise from anything other than the seagulls . The apartment was so well equipped it was like home from home.The two bathrooms are very handy and there was a lovely balcony where we could sit out in the evening and entertain before going out .The apartment is also very secure, to the extent at one stage we got locked out but thanks to Sheila we were back into the apartment very quickly, even though it was on a Sunday afternoon. We have already been trying to rebook for next year but unfortunately the secret of how good it is is out and our dates are already taken. Bad for us but excellent for the owners. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

“Amazing stay” My family and my parents have been visiting Portugal for the past 10 years and this 3 week stay was the best. The accommodation was perfect in a number of ways. My husband and I had with us our 3 children aged 13, 8 and 7 and my parents. The property was large and on 3 floors which meant everyone had their own space and bedroom ( all had an en suite bar 1 ). The interior was to a very high standard and had lots of storage space. The utility in the basement was perfect to for storing cases and beach things. Very social layout on the ground floor, the kitchen led into the dining and lounge area which was great. Sky TV was fab for the children as the large choice of movies game them a retreat from the sun in the afternoon for a while. Ground floor terrace was perfect for young children as it sat next to the pool which meant you didn't have to sit at the pool, you can see them from your terrace. Pool got very busy on occasion but it didn't affect us as we only went to the pool area to swim. We had great trips out, dolphin watching, water parks, Lake, Tuk tuk tours and too many more to mention. Great information book in the property which lists all the best restaurants, trips etc. We will be returning.

“Lovely little house and great for a family” We stayed for a week in this cottage near Principe Real. The location is great for those who want to be able to walk around in old Lisbon. Its very near Bairro Alto and Rato is a bit further. Lots of eateries, everyone we tried was good. Some were very small and local but very welcoming and provided pleasant traditional Portuguese food. The pastries are second to none. Justo welcomed us and gave us useful information about places to go and getting around and about. This was very helpful. The accommodation is well equipped and compact and we felt if anything was needed all we had to do was contact Justo. My sons were very impressed with the marble flooring, the decorative tiling and chandeliers. It felt like a real break from our usual surroundings. Bellem is worth a day out and also lots of good art museums in Lisbon. All the ones we visited had an English translation of the exhibit which was great.

“Excellent apartment very well equiped.” Lovely location with restaurants and bars very close by,the old town is very near by too, the beach is lovely with the old town just across the the walk bridge. “We will be back....” The farmhouse is in a peacefull location within easy reach of the local beaches.The Farmhouse has everything you need for a relaxing stay.Our boys who are aged 9 and 7 loved the pool and chose to stay in the room with their very own bathroom!!! It was great that when they needed to chill out,the dvd player and ps2 was at hand,as that gave us a chance to chill and read a book by the pool..If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with good local restuarants and fantastic beaches this is the place to stay...

“Home away from home” Great little apartment, in a convenient location, with a very homely feel. Cristina the owner is very helpful & approachable. The apartment is clean and comes with lots of great touches to make it feel like a home. It is close to public transport, a supermarket, a laundry and a couple of restaurants. Great place to stay.

“Very good standard and location.” We were upgraded to this apartment free of charge. The apartment is generally well equipped and well located in a very quiet area, about 5 minutes from beach and 10 minutes from Strip. Could have done with a clothes horse. Overall we were very satisfied with the apartment. The only problem we had was with the shower. On our arrival the representative told us it was an awkward system but did not show how it worked. When we tried to use it we couldn't get it to work and when we phoned we were told what to do but it still didn't work. However generally we were very happy with the apartment.

“Home from home” There was 4 of us who stayed here 2 couples in mid 20's.. We had a great time This place was Amazing It's nice an modern, done to living standards not jus holiday standards. It was so comfortable made our holiday so relaxing and had everything u cud possibly need. Absolutely spotless an plenty of space. The terrace was so big every room had an entrance to it an had fab views of the sea, beach an old town. It was extra for linen an towel Change so we didnt bother because we had a washing machine so did all that ourselves. Wash on in the mornin an everything was dry wen we came bk from the beach. The pool area was quite small so we went the beach everyday. The beach an town was about 5 min walk down hill an 15 min up it was fine not too bad.. We enjoyed it but wudnt recommend walking if u hav any walking difficulties, children or elderly people. We got a cab sum nights cost bout €5. Overall I wud recommend this place it was really fab a home from home.

“Relax to the Max!!” We visited this wonderful apartment in June 2013. Communication with the owners was excellent, (they couldn't have made it easier) and the management company very professional. The pictures don't do the apartment justice and it has everything you could want, the location very tranquil (especially as only a couple of the other apartments were being used when we were there), we didn't want to leave!! This is our third visit to Portugal previously renting apartments in Alvor and Porto Do Mos, but this apartment is our favourite by far! We had already arranged to have a hire car, but the owners are more than happy to arrange transfers to and from the airport. The location is great - opposite (and I really mean opposite) the lovely beach of Meia Praia, approx. 30mins walk (either on the side of the road or on the beach) to Lagos Marina, or you can get a local bus or train from just across the road from the apartment (which both run regularly). Lagos itself is a lovely old town with lots of good restaurants. There is also a golf course (Val Da Lama I think) just up the road - several people had left messages in the guest book saying that a twilight round, buggy and hire of clubs was around €55. We found this location also great to visit other beaches towards the most western tip of the Algarve (Sagres) - only 20/30 mins away by car from a number of many lovely bays/beaches (some of which are great for surfing) e.g. Beliche, Zavial, Tonnel & Mareta plus many others in-between. All in all a wonderful holiday in a wonderful apartment and we look forward to visiting again one day soon!

“Stunning Views” A lovely Comfortable apartment - spacious for 6 of us. Amazing New Year breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea. Pleasant easy walks to central Funchal and Camara de Lobos. Nyara is delightful and couldn't be more helpful. There's more to do in Madeira, we'll be back.
