“Amazing villa” I absolutely loved my stay here at casa del Rio. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a great addition very relaxing and spacious! Bed was comfy and the main strip was only 10 minutes walk and a spar only a few minutes walk which was handy. “Really enjoyed my stay” Aside from having to declare war on a few mosquitoes, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I couldn't fault the apartment itself (apart from the ceiling fan, but that wasn't really much of an issue overall). I used to live on the island and come here every year so having a little place to stay like this was perfect for my needs. Great location, great facilities, fantastic views and the surrounding area is just lovely. Just far away enough for peace and quiet but not too far if you want to get involved in the hustle and bustle. For those who don't like hills, there are taxis available. I quite enjoyed the exercise though! Would highly recommend and will try to stay here as often as I can in the future.

“very enjoyable stay” just returned from a week in this super villa.we ordered a welcome pack which was plentiful.our 1st impression was Wow as soon as we walked in the hallway it was very clean well set out and loads of space.its location was ideal just a short stroll and you where at the shops,bars and seafront the communication from enquiring to leaving was brilliant louise even booked us a taxi to go to the airport. we had a couple of cloudy days but still spent a lot of time in the heated pool my deposit was returned swiftly and in full all in all one of the best we have stayed in and without a doubt the best value for money my wife,myself and 2 daughters 14 & 3 years old

“Perfection” Perfectly situated quiet apartment above the Spar in PDC, up 2 flights of steps with locked gate. Apartment fully equipped, home from home here. Full sun on apartment terrace till around 1.30pm, use of sunbrolley until then which suited my husband. Didn’t use the pool which was up further flights of steps but it looked lovely. Loved the large sun terrace reclining chairs and padded sun beds which came with the apartment. Shower doors were difficult to slide which Vinka had pointed out on our arrival however easily remedied by my hubby using Vaseline on the runners, problem sorted. Could have done with mosquitoe net for bedroom window since it was hot at night, but had a fan there which we were able to use. Thanks Angela for a wonderful stay, hoping to book with you again soon

“No words to describe this amazing villa... You won't find better !” After staying in many villas in Lanzarote this is the best of the best. Furnished to the highest standard inside with an out door area to die for. Darts, pool table, table tennis keeps you occupied whilst taking a break for the large heated pool or just sit back and relax on one of the many sun loungers or out door seating areas. It was a real effort to make sure we had tried out all the seating areas !!! Inside has every conceivable gadget you would need. Slept like a baby in the spacious master bedroom with air con. The pool guy was really helpful and couldn't do enough for us all topped off with a fab luxury hamper on arrival. Would defiantly be top of my list for our next visit !!!

“good location” Sitting having breakfast on the balcony watching the ships coming and going was wonderful. Very nice apartment with a modern kitchen and a very good small supermarket nearby which sold most things including English newspapers Plenty of good restaurants nearby including the Puerto Bahia where David Cameron ate when was here.

“A hidden gem!!!!” A hidden gem!!!! After hours of trawling the Internet at hotels, we came across Johns apartment. Conveniently only 15 mins away from the airport, but no aircraft noise & situated in the nicer quaint old town by the beautiful harbour, restaurants & bars. Wow, the view as you enter the apartment was stunning! It took our breathes away. Uninterrupted views, especially because of the long windows onto the balcony, which is really spacious. It overlooks the lovely pool. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. We used the apartments binoculars to watch the cruise ships coming in. This apartment felt homely as soon as we walked through the door, with a lovely welcome pack & soft beach towels waiting for us. The apartment was immaculately clean & tidy with a great new fitted kitchen. It's well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses, ironing board, tea towels etc. Great hairdryer & easy to use safe in bedroom. Whilst there is no aircon, we didn't need it as it was mainly chilly in the evening & there was a tall fan in the front bedroom. There was plenty of cupboard space in both bedrooms, hangers & loads of bathroom towels. It was great for us as a family having the extra bathroom for getting ready at night. The complex feels very safe & is in a great location with easy access to the lovely little snorkel beach & harbour. It's all downhill & takes about 10-15 mins. We preferred this area to the main strip, which is approx 25 mins. You can cut through the complex by using the bottom gate to go to harbour. We found the beach was better than main beach. Better to go when not so windy! There is a spar behind the apartments, but we preferred super dino's (has a bakery) as it was nicer & a lot cheaper. You can get to it by cutting through the little shop outside front apartments & it then leads you through to the flora apartments & go up the stairs to the main road. Dino's is about 5 mins away down the hill on the left. You can walk this way to main strip. We took some advice from apartment owner John & hired bikes (hire shop 5 mins down hill from dino's) for 24 hours (€30 for 2 adults, 2 kids) and cycled into ARRECIFE airport to watch the planes come in. It was amazing & such a lovely cycle route along through the strip passed matagorda. We saw the hotel Beatriz Player (a hotel we considered booking) to see everyone packed in like sardines around a tiny pool. Our pool area was lovely, quiet with no lager louts & a very friendly welcoming pool bar, with good priced drinks & food. Pool was appreciated as we had glorious weather throughout our stay. The pool is cold but the kids didn't mind. The bar owners & their family along with John were very helpful to recommend local restaurants. Friendly Marios was behind the apartments, with great views & "Enjoy" the Chinese/Thai was on the main strip. We had the Teppanyaki grill where the food is cooked in front of you, where the chef puts on an amazing show. We had the €22 menu. The fillet steak was the best we have tasted. Would avoid the Player Mar restaurant on main strip with over priced drinks & hidden charges for rolls & butter. Also ate at Cantina Mexican on main strip which was well priced and the Codfather for amazing fish n chips. There is also a very friendly hassle free bar at the harbour front called San Miguel, where we drank most evenings & if u like craft beers there is a lovely bar called Los Algibes in the new town at far end of strip near the Codfather,music hall & casino. We also walked along the harbour/cliff front into the next stunning harbour town of Puerto Calero. Good walking shoes needed,as it can be steep in places. Took around an hour after taking in the amazing views. There was a reasonably priced coffee shop at the harbour called las Parisienne, where we had toasties,pizza & house wine . You can get a ferry boat back, but we just caught a cab from the rank which was approx 5 euros. Cabs are easy to catch from all the taxi ranks and are cheap. There is also a small jetty there, where you can have a swim! We had an amazing holiday on this friendly island and whilst we were nervous about booking a private apartment, John couldn't have been more helpful and reassuring to us. We are reluctant to post this review, as we would love to keep this a little secret for our family, for future bookings, but John & his wife are so helpful & nice they deserve to be booked up all the time. After a stressful year, this was a very welcoming tonic. So much so, we have already booked again for next year. Once again thank you John & Margaret for sharing your lovely holiday home with us!

“Perfect villa for complete R'n'R! !!!!” We have been visiting Lanzarote every year since 2004 and villa Siempre is the best villa we have stayed in. All the finishing touches made the difference to us ... a decent set of wine glasses (fabulous), Lovely contemporary decoration, modern TV, DVD and sky (shame they have moved some of the receivers on the island as a whole ... But with the amazing views of fuerteventura from the terrace, who needs TV!). There is decent Wi-Fi , if you need to get in touch with back home. You are only a 10 min walk to either the main resort strip or 15 mins to the old harbour (great tapas restaurant there!). There is a decent supermarket, bars and selection of great restaurants (highly recommend Quintins!) all within easy walking distance. All in all a fabulous 11 nights and we have already booked again for 2014!!!

“Lovely comfortable apartment” Lovely comfortable, well equipped apartment. Enjoyed our recent stay there and would recommend. Everything you need at hand and not far from main strip either way you walk depending on which direction you want to explore. Back road takes you to lidl shop, we wheeled our goods back in our suitcase, local holiday makers tip. Lovely and cool at night due to fans provided and mosquito nets on windows which meant you could leave them open at night. Directions and joining instructions very good from owner. Thanks

“Great Holiday at Oceano” My wife & I together with our daughters, son-in-law and two granddaughters had a great time at Oceano Club and I can assure you their feelings are exactly the same as mine I’m about to give you! This is the fourth visit for my wife and I and first for everyone else and once again the usual standards were met – clean, comfortable and friendly staff. We were celebrating two birthdays actually on holiday and one which was just after we would have returned. Davina in reception arranged two birthday cakes, which were delicious and a good time was had by one and all. All staff ensure guests have a good holiday and work extremely hard to achieve this, especially the cleaners and maintenance team. Our youngest granddaughter was a bit under the weather one night and every assistance was given to ensure she was comfortable and informed us of what arrangements could be made in case of an emergency – fortunately she improved and there was no need for any further medical treatment. I, on behalf of my family, want to send a great big thank you and have all said we want to return! Scores on the doors must be a 9+! Unfortunately, couldn't control the weather, which could have been better, but certainly didn’t dampen our enjoyment!

“Hidden gem :)” If peace and relaxation is what you need then you will definitely find it here. The apartment really is a home from home and is a perfect bolt hole for 2 people. It's close enough to the main restaurants and beach (10 minutes walk) but in a quiet residential area which means you get a good nights sleep. The pool area is well maintained and we saw the pool and surrounding terrace being cleaned. Some of the apartments are holidays lets and some are homes. Everyone is friendly non the less. Fiona owns the apartment and her Mum (Andrea) manages it for her. I contacted Andrea one day to let her know that one of the sun loungers was broken but that it was a courtesy call and nothing that was causing us a problem. Within 40 minutes Andrea arrived with a new lounger! She is around to help should you need her but doesn't intrude on your holiday. Thank you to Andrea for all her help and also to Fiona to allowing us to stay. We really did have a wonderful break :)
