Description
Mole's Cottage: on the edge of the Wolds, a place you can return to after a day of exploring Lincolnshire. Mole’s Cottage used to be a stable block before being converted and extended to a high standard, now consists of utility room, separate cloakroom, large kitchen/dining room, lounge, 2 good size ensuite bedrooms. Large log cabin containing seven seat hot tub and toilet facilities. Fully enclosed and paved patio.Underfloor heating provided by an air source heat pump. The swimming pool is a one minutes stroll away (I have timed it!) but will be for your private use. Pool available until 9pm. Hot tub available 24 hours. The facilities ARE NOT SHARED BUT FOR YOUR USE ONLY.
Access to Mole’s Cottage is through electric gates then along a tarmac drive through over three acres of fully enclosed trees and grassland of which you can wander about and enjoy seeing the numerous birds, squirrels, rabbits, the occasional deer to name just a few of the local wild inhabitants. There is also a pond where you can sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity, while watching dragonflies hover, moorhens and the odd duck or two swim among the lily pads.
If you like walking there are numerous country walks close by including The Viking Way, Chambers Wood and The Wolds Way to name a few. Golf? Woodhall Spa the home of English golf is only a few miles away along with its quaint Cinema in the woods.
If motor racing is more your thing, renowned Cadwell Park is a mere 20 minutes away but if you prefer the four legged racing then Market Rasen is 12 miles away.
We are not far from the East Coast which along with the traditional seaside of Skegness there is Donna Nook well known for it's seal colony (certain times of year).
Horncastle home of antiques is a 10 minute drive, here you will also find numerous tea shops.
There is Lincoln, famous for its Cathedral which has appeared on the big screen (Da Vinci Code) also the Castle; home of the Magna Carta, just to name a few of its highlights.
For younger visitors attractions include Rand Farm Park and Woodside Wildlife Park.
On your return to Mole's Cottage why not enjoy a swim in the heated indoor and then ease the tensions of the day away in the hot tub (all for your private use). Then perhaps a BBQ, sit and relax in your own enclosed patio area, or in colder weather relax in the lounge in front of a roaring log burner (initial supply of logs provided) before retiring to one of two ensuite luxury bedrooms.
Towels, bath robes, slippers and Bedding provided, fully fitted kitchen, dining room, utility room and lounge. A selection of DVD, books and games for your enjoyment.

“Stunning absolutely stunning!!!”
Moles Cottage is absolutely beautiful, the drive upto the house is lovely and the gardens surrounding the cottage are lovely too. When we arrived Julie and Robert greeted us all and showed us around. The photos look nice but when you get there it all looks and is amazing. The pool was brilliant to have and the children loved it even more than I could have imagined, the youngest being a non swimmer and left completely water confident and swimming 50 metres with ease, just fantastic. The cottage itself had everything you needed, was lovely and clean and a very thoughtful welcome pack is left for you to enjoy, which included a gorgeous homemade cake. There is plenty to do in the area and we would highly recommend a visit to Moles Cottage! We would definitely return, it was just wonderful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Julie Smith x
Owner's reply: Thank you for your comments Julie. We are so pleased your stay here at Mole’s Cottage and we are thrilled to bits that your son learnt to swim whilst staying here. Hope to see you again.
