Why stay in Moraira?

Moraira justifiably lives up to it's reputation as the "St. Tropez" of Spain. A main reason for this is that there are no buildings over 5 storeys allowed to be built, and this means there are no high-rise hotels and therefore no mass tourism. Good quality shops, reasonably priced bars and restaurants are the ‘norm’.

All three beaches in town are EEC Blue Flag approved, the beautiful beaches and promenades are amongst the prettiest to be found along the coast, and a Daily Mail article has named El Portet beach as the most beautiful on the east coast of Spain. Facilities devoted to walking, sailing, sub aqua, karting, golf and horse-riding offer sport and entertainment in and around the town, and the Friday market is a must. For the kids there is a permanent funfair.

We advertise as sleeps 5 as we provide a cot for a baby/child.

Getting around

Pla del Mar, is Moraira's original urbanization, situated right beside the town and overlooking the Marina. The streets here are named after the seas of the world. Situated on a low hillside overlooking the town with fine views of the Moraira-Benissa coast with the Calpe Peñon in the distance. Facing Pla del Mar and overlooking the Marina and the sea, is a recently inaugurated sea front path that runs from Moraira to El Portet. The photo opportunities here are spectacular. At the start of the path is a small park featuring typical Mediterranean plants and shrubs. For many years, Pla del Mar and El Portet have been favourite places for Valencian holiday homes with visitors driving down to their properties at the weekends.

Any e mail or telephone call will be answered as soon as possible and I have been praised for speedy responses. Lots of info about the property and location as well as places to go, eat and drink available as I love talking about it all, it's such an amazing place.

Having just come back from a few days in this wonderful villa, I wouldn't hesitate to re-book. Spotlessly clean, super comfy and extremely well equipped, with many small touches making it feel like a real home from home. Being January and stormy weather the heating and Satellite TV were also very welcome. The pool is great and a good size with plenty of room to relax around on the sun loungers provided and the views from the roof terrace were stunning. The location is a real plus, situated in a quiet neighbourhood, just a 5 minute walk into the lovely town of Moraira which has a really good selection of restaurants, shops, bars and is also very close to the beaches.The owners couldn't have been better, really friendly with fast communication, easy booking and lots of recommendations and information. We will definitely will be booking again, loved Moraira and the villa. Many thanks.

We had a wonderful week in La Casita. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner from an initial enquiry up to check out and beyond, even enquiring if we had a safe journey home. The villa is in the most ideal location with a genuine 5 minute walk into Moraira with a lovely range of shops, bars and restaurants of all different types of cuisine. At most eateries don’t forget to check out the ‘menu del Dia’, a fantastic menu normally including bread and ali oli, a starter, main meal, dessert and/or coffee, oh and usually with half a bottle of wine EACH sometimes a whole bottle, all from around 15 Euros. Soft drinks are available instead. Lovely memories!

How we have missed this villa before I do not know! Have had the most wonderful holiday relaxing and Moraira is a lovely small town that caters for everyone. We did take advantage of the big TV in the lounge as well as the ‘smart’ tv’s in each bedroom. The owner/s have certainly thought of virtually everything to make a holiday a holiday. Communication with the owner was excellent and answered each and every question we had also providing us with in depth information of the villa and surrounding areas even sending us photos of the ‘old’ Moraira, wow how its changed! I sincerely recommend La Casita. You will love it!

This is our first visit to Moraira and it certainly wont be the last, what a gem La Casita is, so glad we found it. We have never hired a villa before and the whole experience has been wonderful, just like home from home and then some. The owner has been so helpful as well as re assuring us we made the right choice and we had. The high chair, cot, all the bed linen and towels included made sure we only needed to pack our clothes. Highly recommended.

La Casita is in the most exclusive area of Moraira. Only 5 minutes walk away from town yet so peaceful. Everything has been thought of in the villa, all we needed was food, drink and toiletries, everything else is provided and included in the price unlike so may other places we have stayed where extra charges are made. NO HIDDEN EXTRAS HERE! The private pool is amazing and so secluded. Not too deep so a lot of fun and safe. The roof terrace (solarium as its called in Spain) has some lovely views of the Sea and mountains. We have already reserved our next vacation here.

My wife and I have stayed in Moraira rentals on several previous occasions but always in properties which required a drive into town. La Casita is a chic, spotlessly clean and luxuriously well equipped 2 bedroom villa which sleeps 4 in two en-suite bedrooms and all this is just a 5 or 10 minute stroll into town. It contains everything you would ever need to either support either a fully self-catered holiday or just simply ‘be there’ if needed between dining out experiences - there is even British Sky tv just in case! The pool, enclosed terrace and pergola covered outside dining area (for that mid afternoon shade) make this perfect for adults and couples alike and also families with children. We also made full use of the rooftop solarium especially in the evening watching the sunset behind the distant mountains near Calpe .... don’t forget lemons for your obligatory G&T ! Talking of evenings, one thing which would appeal to families with young children, is a bath in the main bedroom en-suite. We thought this was a great asset to help keep kiddies in their normal night time routine therefore maximising the parents quality evening time. As mentioned, the cosmopolitan town and beautiful marina area is a mere 10 minutes stroll away and includes boutiques, bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets; we found they offered all languages, budgets and tastes. The local area has some fantastic beaches, coves, towns, markets and attractions to visit, most within a 30 minute slow drive. If you want a relaxed holiday but with all the luxury and comfort of home, in a beautiful unspoilt Spanish town then we highly recommend booking La Casita - we loved it ! Xx

How do damage deposits work?
