Welcome to the luxury villa No. 1 Smugglers Cove, St James, Barbados. Stretch out in complete luxury, in your stunning 3 bed-room ground floor luxury vacation rental in Barbados. Bask in near-perfect weather, literally 10 steps from one of the most beautiful white sandy beaches in the world. Lounge in your own extensive garden serenaded by tropical birdsong and scented by frangipani. Recharge the spirit with boundless views of the calm turquoise sea. All just a few minutes walk down the beach to the famous Sandy Lane Hotel. This luxury vacation rental is without doubt a complete paradise of luxurious peaceful delight.
ACCOMMODATION
No. 1 Smugglers Cove offers all the luxury and comforts of the best 5 star hotel but, as a luxury vacation rental, with lots more space and many of the comforts of home. The luxury villa comprises a hallway, an open kitchen with breakfast bar area, utility, a guest toilet, spacious and beautifully appointed sitting room, a furnished outdoor veranda or patio outside, a covered outdoor dining area and an uncovered outdoor terraced sitting area.
There are three luxurious double bedrooms, two of which can be converted to twin rooms. All have over-sized marble en-suite bathrooms. The beautiful master bedroom faces the sea side of the property, the double doors open onto a terrace, with a view of the garden, white sandy beach and the ever present beautiful turquoise sea.
With refreshing warmth and devoted attention, the luxury villa comes with your own private maid. A cook can be arranged on request at an extra cost.
There is a small pool in the garden area. The beach front is accessed from the garden, where padded beach loungers are available to Smugglers Cove guests only. There, a beach butler David is available to help fulfill any requirements you may have.
The complex is gated and accessed only through an intercom to the 24 hour on property security team. The property also has CCTV in operation.
STAFF
When you stay at #1 Smugglers Cove, you will be personally looked after by our wonderful housekeeper Olivette (Ollie) six day per week. Ollie is one of the reasons our guests come back year after year not to mention her famous Rum Punch! Find Ollie's Rum Punch recipe from No. 1 Smugglers Cove here.

“Fabulous as always”
This was our 3rd time to stay at Smugglers Cove #1 and we will return again. “Ollie” is the resident cook/housekeeper and is a saint, she really make our vacations every time we go there. You are steps from the powdered white sands of Payne’s Bay beach, plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby also. Sandy Lane Resort is a short beach stroll away and Holetown a 5 minute drive. A complete vacation.
“Loved the Location”
We have just returned from a wonderful vacation in Barbados. Smugglers 1 was everything we had hoped for. We loved the fact that we were right on the beach. Ollie our housekeeper was amazing. She could not have been more helpful and always seemed to be smiling. The best part was being on the ground floor and having our own little garden area. We can highly recommend this property.
“Best Location Ever”
This has to have been the best place we’ve ever stayed in Barbados. We are already looking at return dates! We loved walking the beach & swimming in the sea on Paynes Bay. We had lunch at the Tamarind which was delicious & also ate at The Vic across the road one evening – for a local vibe! The hosts were charming. Ollie the housekeeper prepared great breakfasts and lunches for our family. She couldn’t do enough for us. Julie recommended a great boat trip for us too – a particular highlight
“Best Location in Barbados”
We loved Smugglers Cove & Paynes Bay. We’ve visited Barbados many times but this is our favourite location- it’s just perfect. Special mention to Miss Ollie our housekeeper – we loved her delicious meals & friendly manner. Thanks for recommending – we’ll be back.
“Everything was perfect”
We have just returned from Smugglers 1. We loved every second. Ollie our Housekeeper deserves a particular mention as she was outstanding. She was so helpful and always had a smile on her face. She is also a great cook. She cooked for us on a couple of our nights and it was great to have a home cooked meal when we arrived. We did also enjoy walking to some of the restaurants close by and we went into Holetown on a couple of nights for some shopping and food. But the best bit was the beach. It is stunning and we cannot wait to return.

“wonderful location and surperd facility”
We stayed there as a family of 6 in June. We have holidayed in the area on a number of occassions and found this facility to be really ideal in terms of location, accomodation/furnishings, access to beach and restaurants and the maid - Ollie is a huge part of the overall enjoyment. Would highly recommend it as a 5 star location.
