When we decided to share our island home we asked both our gallery visitors and B&B owners: "What makes a great B&B?". From their responses we decided that elegant beauty, privacy and the ability to have a simple healthy breakfast at any time was desired. So our website and letter of confirmation both list the food choices that we provide for our guests, and mention our special welcome treat - freshly baked pastries the first morning. Our approach has been very well received. However in this instance we take full responsibility for this communication problem because we didn't recognize our guests' confusion and disappointment over their breakfast expectations. We feel badly because it always gives us great pleasure when our guests are so happy and have such a wonderful time at Bloom that they long to return.
