For your perfect break in the tranquil Algarvean countryside look no further.

Mandalay cottage has been renovated to an extremely high standard whilst keeping the rustic charm of the original building. This is the ideal place from which to explore the best the Algarve has to offer or just unwind, relax and enjoy your time in Portugal.

Positioned in the village of Torre, on the Via Algarviana (a walk across the Algarve from Alcoutim on the East Border to Cap St Vincente the most Westerly point of mainland Europe) and set in the breathtaking Serra do Caldeirao, this cottage has outstanding views of the countryside, coast and sea. We are just 4 kms from the beautiful traditional Portuguese town of Alte, 45 minutes by car from Faro airport to the East and 25 minutes by car due North of Albufeira, 25 minutes by car in a South Westerly direction will take you to Algarve Shopping one of the largest retail outlets along the Algarve.

The gorgeous sandy beaches and award winning golf courses are just minutes away from Algarve shopping as is the Central Algarve town of Albufeira.

For those of you wishing to travel around,the beautiful Monchique mountains are just 35 minutes by car away from us and a further hour will take you to the West Coast of Portugal for some of the best Water Sports in Portugal

The spectacular scenery around here is home to many varieties of Birds and Flowers and there are many fabulous walks. and cycle tracks

There are several Nature Reserves and for Bird Watchers and Nature Lovers this is the perfect place to choose.

Mandalay Cottage is a very spaciaous, spotless 2 bedroomed house. There is a fitted kitchen/dining room which is suitable for up to 6 people.

Steps lead up to a separate living room which has a large bed settee, double futon and easy chair. There is satellite TV which is tuned to European channels also a music centre and adequate electrical points.

Free WIFI is available.

Up a couple of steps to a hallway leading to a large bathroom with power shower, w.c., bidet and hand wash basin. There is also a large understairs walk in storage room off the hallway.

The staircase leads up to the two bedrooms. The master has a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds.

Outside there is a table, parasol and chairs for private dining. A gate leads to a large terrace for bbq and alfresco dining, a large swimming pool heated by Solar Panels, gardens and also a large utility cottage which houses a further w.c., freezer and laundry facilities These are also shared with our two other cottages.

Owing to our rural position we advise a car.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
