Located in the heart of Andes, on a very quite street. 2 ½ hours drive from Manhattan, this charming apartment is on the upper floor of a two family home. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, Kitchen, dining room, living Room and deck with views perfect for dining al fresco. Note : We provide Central Heating-many places offering a cheaper rent only provide a Wood Burning stove for Heat - which means you have to make a fire all day and night to keep warm during the cold season. Andes is the perfect destination for family vacation or a Romantic Weekend Getaway, for your Summer & Winter Holidays or Long Term Stays. We have great local restaurants.Here you will wake up to the birds singing and fall asleep to the soft sounds of the brook which flows directly beside the house. Enjoy the views and the countryside with the fear and isolation of being in the woods. Relax and unwind, exercise, hike, enjoy boating in the Pepacton Reservoir just 8 miles from the house, bring your kayak or sunfish. In the summer months you can swim in the village pool and play tennis on the two newly resurfaced hard courts, just a short walk from the house. The apartment is located about 20 minutes from Belleayre and Plattekill Ski Resorts and a little over one hour from the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, 45 minutes from Woodstock. The Hamlet of Andes is packed with specialty shops, museums, galleries, antique dealers, restaurants, and a general store. 15 minutes from the Villages of Delhi and Margaretville. We have several fabulous Golf Courses equipped with golf carts, all within 15-30 minutes' drive with very inexpensive day rates.If you don't drive, you can still travel here, the Trailways Bus will bring you within walking distance from the house, you can then walk to all the charming village amenities during your visit.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the visit and I am happy you had a good stay. Just to let you know for another time, regarding lack of cell coverage, if you get directions on google maps on the wifi before you leave the property... the google satellite will still work and guide you to your destination even without the cell coverage. We do have the Verizon Booster at the house but it only works if you have Verizon. Many thanks again.

I have since learnt from the gousekeeper, we don't usually turn on the washing machine for the weekend 2 day rentals, as guests don't usually need to do laundry during a brief stay, but we would if asked in advance, my apologies for this. The Wi-Fi was down due to a snow storm, but has been up and working well since then.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rita (the owner) a message.

If Rita (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
