Description from owner


Blue cottage was the original house of Costa's grandmother from 1912. It was recently renovated into an agrotourism house and it overlooks the beginning of the Limassol forest. It is a stone-built house of 120 square meters and it's reached from the road by 12 steps that reach up to a flourishing garden.

The house consists of 2 bedrooms and a large open plan living room and kitchen, while the preserved traditional style fireplace is the dominant feature of the room. Don't miss the little library discreetly hidden in the corner though. It has been slowly stocked with books by the likes of previous visitors. Feel free to grab a book for the flight home.

The inside stone-paved courtyard offers a shadowy shelter for these late summer brunches. Don't forget to order your freshly baked bread from the village to accompany it with. And of course what follows a hearty mountain meal, is an excursion to the island.

“Lovely rural accommodation very close to Limassol”

Stayed at this wonderful house / cottage for a couple of days, and all I have to say is that the open view towards the mountains is stunning! Blue Cottage was the accommodation for our trip to Cyprus with my girlfriend and the first thing that we noticed when we arrived and entered the cottage was the high ceiling and open space inside with the traditional but at the same time ‘modern’ decoration, we just loved it! The ability that the house has when it comes to keeping a very cool and pleasant temperature inside while the temperature outside is burning hot, is to put it mildly….a lifesaver. The area itself, being on the mountains, was a very good choice for the hot Cypriot summer, as it doesn’t get quite as hot as in the cities and other coastal areas. One might think that it would be cold in the house at night, on the contrary the temperature is exactly where it supposed to be in order to feel comfortable and have a good night’s sleep. There is A/C in the bedrooms but we didn’t have to use it. Since we enjoy spending time outdoors, we were very happy to have the space in front of the house entrance for barbecuing and directly next to there, a place to sit and enjoy some wine once you were finished with the barbecue. The place where you actually barbecue is at a small but safe distance from where you would sit and eat later on. And while dealing with the barbecue you will have a wide angle view of nature (very open and nice space there). When the barbecue was done, the place where you sit and eat is very comfortable (can fit between 6 to 8 people) it’s all build under a small extension roof that is connected to the house so it’s super cozy and most important you have constant shadow where you sit and eat! :) There is everything from equipment you might need for cooking but the barbecue possibility was a nice addition to our vacations. Also, I forgot to mention there is a dedicated parking for one normal sized car. It is very nice to know that your car is “inside” the house. A car is necessary if you plan to stay there as we didn’t see much public transport but the house is in a very good location for going around the island and exploring. We enjoyed our time exploring all the different villages of the area, and especially the wine routes, while with just 20-30 minutes of driving we reached some pretty nice blue flag beaches in Limassol! All in all, a great experience, would love to visit again! 5 stars of 5. ///Goran V.

How do damage deposits work?
