Welcome to The Hideaway! The perfect off grid glamping experience for any nature lover looking for a relaxing getaway. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live simply, yet comfortably in the forest? This is as close as it gets. Pursue your favourite outdoor activities during the day and then return to your comfy Queen size bed, steps away from the bonfire. This luxurious bunkie features a futon as well and will comfortably accommodate up to four guests.

This space is a unique one. A place to set up your camp with the comforts of an indoor space and access to a hot shower at your convenience! For those chilly nights enjoy the warmth of a traditional European masonary wood stove inside your Bunkie! Cook meals on the front porch with the propane cooking stove, making your camp experience even easier. Roam around our private trails, watch animals in their natural habitat, pick wild edible mushrooms and plants in season, or just sit by the fire and relax. You can also explore our sustainable homestead or take a canoe to the lake just a few minutes from the property!

Your Bunkie is surrounded by nature trails on over 200 acres of private land. There is a washroom/ shower building located across from your abode and the nearest lake (Bull Lake) is a 15 minute walk away.

During the winter months, enjoy Ice fishing at Bull Lake in the private ice fishing hut (January through March) Available for rent daily.

The lake has a gravel beach that you can enjoy. If you would like to explore a bit further out, you can rent a canoe from our main house.

• Please be respectful of all wildlife and other guests who may be around. Be mindful when it comes to noise.
• Do not feed any wild animals and properly store your food containers out of the open. Do not litter and please try to pack out as much garbage as possible.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If John (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
