(English version below) The privately rented Sailor`s rest house is situated on an island of Cape Breton Island in the east of the island Nova Scotia, more specifically on the charming French-Canadian embossed Isle Madame in eastern Canada. The Halifax International Airport is just example from Frankfurt weekly reach in 6-7 hours direct flight several times. the Sailor`s rest house was built originally by the first settlers in the middle of the eighteenth century recently fully renovated and now offers comfortable, bright atmosphere with great attention to detail. From driftwood furniture artfully constructed the new IKEA furniture complement for European claims, for example, the large 1.90 mx 2 m pull-out bed in the bedroom with high quality Visco mattresses Memory Foam (Tempur). Modern, environmentally friendly heat pump air conditioning, 220V outlets umv. give an immediate feeling of wellbeing to be at home, and at one of the most exposed, wildest places in Canada. The private Sailor`s Rest House is located on the beautiful Isle Madame, de French Acadian heart of Cape Breton Iceland, Nova Scotia (Canada`s Eastern Shore), 10 minutes away Arichat with supermarket, seafood market, hospital etc. The fisherman's house sits on the rocks at the end of the quaint fishing village of Samson's Cove next to Little Anse and is surrounded by the ocean. Here you can enjoy a stunning and endless view in any direction. Originally built by the first settlers in the mid-1800's, Sailor's Rest has recently been fully renovated to meet European standards and now offers air-condition, comfortable rooms equipped with bright furniture and handcrafted driftwood beach art. Here you can enjoy two cozy rooms with twin beds on the first floor or watch the sunset from on extendable queen size bed with memory foam mattress in the living room on the ground floor.

Getting around

We are reachable by phone for all requests and questions, and not too far away to help or offer to make fishing or sailing trips with our boats. If you have the island Cape Breton reached via the Canso Causeway, follow the highway 104 to St. Peters. At the exit 46 Louisdale, Isle Madame, Arichat they should continue to Arichat, then follow the signs for Petit de Grat and ultimately Little Anse. Just before Little Anse left into Sampsons Cove Rd and left at the end the red house no. 83. Welcome!

In 10 minutes drive one of the most beautiful hiking trails of Cape Breton Island, the Cap Auget Eco Trail begins. La Picasso university and cultural center of French, Arcadian, French-Canadian culture, reachable in 10 minutes. In Arichat (10 min) the most widely freshest fish to get. The Premium Seafood Group operates a small covered market uA with live lobsters. In max. 15 minutes' drive there are numerous hiking trails and sandy beaches for walking. The most famous beach is the Pondville Provincial Park. In summer sandcastle competitions are held there regularly. The Lenoir Landing Forge Museum offers insights into the old crafts and Farmers Market during the season every weekend.

How do damage deposits work?
