Description

Modern, open-plan 2 or 3-bedroom house with vaulted ceilings and huge outdoor decks in Arorangi, Rarotonga's sheltered west coast famed for its sunsets. Recent extension offers optional third bedroom with en suite, super king bed (can be twin) for additional $75 - bring the grandparents! Private sparkling outdoor pool within sunny, fully enclosed decked area flowing from shady front verandah. The house is very clean, bright and comfortable. The large convenient kitchen is very well equipped, loads of space, gas cooker, large frig/freezer, microwave, UV in-ink water filter, plenty of tableware and cookware, open to the dining and living area furnished in tropical cane - dining table easily seats six, insect screens on all windows, flat screen TV, DVD, LogiTech speakers, books and games for those occasional rainy days or evenings in.

Bedrooms are spacious, each with top quality super king beds (can be split to extra long single beds), ceiling fans, insect screens, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. Third bedroom as an optional extra with its own bathroom - attached to the house with its own secure entrance. Main bathroom features a huge tiled step-down shower, easily big enough for two! New auto washing-machine, iron and board (if you must iron!) This is the owners' own holiday house, set up for maximum comfort for our own holidays there from NZ.

Outside there's plenty of outdoor furniture for dining and lounging on the generous covered verandahs, plus the all-day-sun private sun deck adjacent to pool. Very efficient, easy to use gas BBQ provided. The house sits in its own private large garden - big flat lawn for outdoor fun and games, ringed with tropical fruit trees, vines and flowering shrubs.

The location is brilliant - only two houses back from the beautiful white sand beach down the driveway - great snorkelling! Here you're handy to everything - within 5 or 10 mins walk are several good restaurants and bars, many on the beach, plus local shops, dive hire, rental cars... ten minutes by car or bus to the airport and town of Avarua. So many things to do and discover in beautiful Rarotonga - make it your next dream holiday and find out why those of us who keep going back call it Paradise!

Getting around

A car will allow you to explore the interior and back roads (more safely than a motor scooter - but, your choice!). The bus goes around the island and stops practically outside our door - but only travels the main ring road in either direction - clockwise, or anti-clockwise. E-bikes are for hire, also cycles. A car may be available from us as part of your package - do enquire.

Interaction with guest

Our local manager Jane will pop in at some time but if you have questions or concerns please do phone her. Her numbers are on your welcome page and in the guest compendium where you'll find all the essential information about the property. Plenty of brochures, maps etc in the house - there are so many diverse things to do in Rarotonga you'll be wishing you'd stayed longer. Our team is there to ensure your comfort and enjoyment - and help just a phone call away.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Gabrielle (the owner) a message.

If Gabrielle (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
